Conversely, if the media beats a constant drumbeat proclaiming that something is a scandal, it becomes one. The MSM could make a scandal over a Republican having scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Nope. If a scandal happens and nobody covers it, it is not a scandal. Exactly, it's not a scandal because the Praetorian MarxoFascist media and their Democrat overlords say it is not - so there is no - I mean absolutely NO coverage of it.
Instead it was turned into political theater and now the Praetorian Media has yanked out their swords to assist Rep Cummings assassinate Chairman Issa for daring to ask questions about it.
And Issa APOLOGIZED for cutting off the grandstanding for political theater.
So, it could be the biggest scandal in WORLD HISTORY - and no one will know, and only us few "Tea Baggers" care about the IRS being used as a weapon to punish the political beliefs of Conservatives. We care about it because we're ' racists' and we hate Obama because he's 'black'.
