Debo P. Adegbile was nominated by Obama to lead the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division.

The US Senate filibustered President Obama’s pick to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division. Seven Democrats joined Republicans in arguing against Debo P. Adegbile.
The Washington Times reported:

The Senate filibustered President Obama’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division, with seven Democrats joining Republicans Wednesday in arguing his past history defending a convicted cop-killer made him the wrong man for the job.

The defeat of Debo P. Adegbile, who as a lawyer for the NAACP filed a brief arguing that former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal’s murder trial was tainted by racism, is a major blow to Mr. Obama. It comes even after Democrats changed the rules last year to overcome filibusters with just 50 votes — but on Wednesday Majority Leader Harry Reid couldn’t even muster all of his own troops.

“I am glad to see that the Senate Minority Leader joined the acting Minority Leader, the junior Senator from Texas, to oppose this nomination!”

Ha! Mitch McConnell, LINO (leader in name only)

He defended Abu Jamal, a criminal from Philly who shot a cop in the back, and as he lay on the ground helpless before him, pumped his head full of bullets.

An asSORDID collection of customary Hollywood creeps came to Jamal’s defense. I think he’s sitting in a jail somewhere instead of hanging from a rope like he deserved.

The legal defense of the indefensible is a dirty job that has to be done. But, those that can argue that side on an issue should not be given public trust.

"… Reid Cries Racism!”

Ever the sleaze, even Reid voted no, eventually, to play even more games...

The nomination expires on January 3rd. I doubt Reid will bring it up again in an election year. He knows it won’t go anywhere.

If a white person is found guilty of a crime, he is guilty.
If a black person is found guilty of a crime, he is innocent and convicted because he is black. Hussein Obama is black, therefore he can destroy the country because since he is black he is innocent of any wrongdoing.

I am white, therefore I must be guilty of something - I know, I’m guilty of not being black.

There was fear when John Kennedy was elected that he would be the ‘President for Catholics’ and Catholic causes.

The fear was unfounded.

American Presidents - up until Obama - realized they were Presidents of the United States... of all the people. Obama has trashed that tradition.

Obama's President of democrat grievance groups. He's a failure...

Yes. Depending on the results of the 2014 election, I expect this might come back for another on vote sometime later this year, perhaps between Christmas and New Years.

He was not one of this craven murderer’s original defense attorneys.

He is merely one of the scores of sleazy dirt-bags who’ve been littering the courts with “appeals” and “motions for new trials” and such for thee cop-killing a$$hole since the day he was first convicted.

Anything this worthless POS did for Wesley Cook was NOT work that needed to be done.
