During a hearing of the House Oversight Committee into allegations that the Internal Revenue Service scrutinized conservative groups’ tax-exempt status filings unduly, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) exploded at Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (D-CA). Cummings charged that the way in which the proceedings were being conducted were “Un-American.” In apparent protest, Issa then walked out of the committee hearing.
While making a statement before the committee, Issa stood up and asked Cummings to yield.
“If you will sit down and allow me to ask a question,” Cummings insisted. “I am a member of a Congress of the United States of America.”

Republicans should watched the tape of Cummings over and over. Maybe they’ll learn something.
Yet some obscure county judge can throw a teenage girl in jail for answering a ringing cell phone?
Yet major government department heads can lie, take the 5th, flat out refuse to answer questions about massive government corruption?
And she is allowed to smugly walk out???

She’s probably sitting in some office now swilling down a drink with Issa and having a laugh.
I agree with number one, but I think number two will never come to pass because the press is willing to cover up for their boy President.
Most LIVs I have mentioned this to are surprised to hear that one of the Articles of Impeachment (Article Two) against Richard Nixon was exactly this tomfoolery with the IRS, and he didn’t actually do any of this stuff because the IRS told him to pound sand.
They just walk away muttering when I ask, “If it was good enough to kick Richard Nixon out of office, then why shouldn’t we hold Obama to the same standard?”

Engelbrecht is also suing Cummings for lible and defamation. Cummings is an Obama-party apparatchik....a fascist operative of the Obama collective.He represents no one but the master. Cummings certainly does not represent anyone who is a conservative in his district, he wants to silence them ALL.Cummings would kill as many as he could if he thiuyght he could get away without punishment.He is a true Obama fascist.

Cummings’ antics certainly deserves greater attention than the an IRS official taking the 5th.

Cummings lied. His grandstanding had NOTHING whatsoever to do with a 'question'. Typical democrat jerk.
