“We wish Senator Cornyn [the] best of luck in November and urge everyone to vote for, volunteer for and support the whole Texas GOP ticket,” Stockman tweeted just after The Associated Press called the race for Cornyn, with only about 2 percent of precincts reporting.

You’ve given up a House seat to someone who is less conservative than yourself.

Not if Brian Babin wins the seat! He's in a runoff.

Babin is the father of a Navy Seal and F-I-L of FOX News' Jenna Lee.

Amen. I cast 3rd Party against McCain and can easily rinse and repeat, certainly with Cornyn.

At this point, 40% of Texas voters voted for anyone but Cornyn.

Cornyn hasn't crushed anything. He's squeaking by, and only 41% of precincts are reporting.

Tom Cotton Gains Ground Over Mark Pryor in New Poll

A new poll shows Rep. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) is gaining ground in his effort to unseat Sen. Mark Pryor (D., Arkansas), thecitywire.com reports.

Cotton received 46 percent support from 1,202 poll respondents, while Pryor received 42 percent.

The poll was conducted on Feb. 12 by the Little Rock-based Impact Management Group. In an Oct. 24 poll conducted by the same group, Cotton received 43 percent support, and Pryor received 41 percent.

I agree. Cornyn runs free now, to pal up with the Amnesty pushers set to turn TEXAS blue.

Cornyn expects to pander with the best of them. The ball got rolling tonight, on blue, with his re-election and with George P. Bush coming up the ladder.

well, i guess my only take from afar is that sadly barnum has it covered: i.e., that cornyn and the GOPe apparently can fool part (~60%) of texas republican voters *all* of the time.

Brian Babin and Ben Streusand were the top two vote-getters, out of the 12-candidate race...in a runoff.

"Overcrowded races only help incumbents."

I don't think that's necessarily true in run-off states. If Cornyn had been held to under 50%, the runner up would have had some time to raise some additional $$ and consolidate the anti-cornyn vote. The problem is, apparently, there were still enough pro-Cornyn voters out there to put him over the top, regardless of whether he would have had only one opponent or ten.

This election is also about Rick Perry and Dewhurst pandering to illegals on tuition.

Perry won’t be a presidential candidate and Dewhurst will be lucky to stay on as Lt Governor.

Whether or not Dan Patrick is a fake, The Tea Party used its power to defeat Dewhurst twice.

why is Palin sitting out 2014?

Cornyn now below 60% with 60% of precincts reporting. He's steadily losing ground. Looks like it might not be enough, though.

So much for 'crushing'. Squeaking might be more appropriate.

Cornyn hasn't crushed anything.

It's MERELY a flesh wound... I've had worse.

denying the obvious doesn't make it any better.

Cornyn was predicted to do much better than he is doing. He's below 60% now. He's within 10 points of a run-off, with 40% of precincts yet to report.

60 - 19 is a political BUTT WHUPPING.

John Cornyn is going to be a Senator from Texas for the next SIX FREAKING years...

Deal with it.
