I was hoping one of the Texas FReepers would start a thread, but didn't see one. The Texas primary is today..several interesting races, but the BIG ONE involves Cornyn. When you vote...let us know what you heard/saw? What's the weather like down there?
Also, will Ralph Hall be retired, finally...?
Will Pete Sessions finally get to move to Florida?...hopefully he can play golf there with Boehner full time next year.

Weather in TX? Someone in the Army during WWII quipped that Texas was the only place where you could be slogging through the mud and have sand blow in your face!

Kentucky is up next.
Cornyn will win in a landslide.

We need to focus on North Carolina next on May 6th. Force a runoff to get Brannon the nomination instead of the establishment-supported Tillis.
The weather in Houston is horrible, ken5050. Temps right at 32 degrees, rain freezing on trees and elevated structures (like overpasses!). It was a sloppy, white knuckle commute this morning. Good news is, the rain is supposed to stop and the temp should rise above freezing by noon.
The wife and I will venture out to the polls this evening to do our part.
The sun just warmed the roof steel above freezing. A great sheet of ice just slid off with a crash. I guess we’ll head out to the polls now.
I voted for NOT Cornyn candidate on Friday! Doesn’t matter, I voted for Stockman - just refine the votes if we can get a runoff.
I’d said since the first of the year that because it’s such a short primary, Cornyn’s $$$ is negated to some extent. He doesn’t have the time to try and define his opponents as “nutjobs.” This, it becomes a referendum on his record, and if the base is pissed off enough to toss him..If he wins, he’ll just squeak by, in the low 50’s..and that will may Mitch, and Lindsay, and Lamar, and Thad very, VERY nervous..
Make sure to get out and vote.
There are 6 propositions on the ballot.
One of them is to repeal the business franchise tax.
The propositions didn’t get much air time this go round.
I want to see Sessions, Cornyn, Veasey (to Sanchez), Patrick (my local TX Rep, losing to Tinderholt) & Dewhurst go down. But, I will only feel some real disappointment if Patrick survives. The BITCH is really anti-Tea Party!
Nobody from Texas that is a member of Free Republic should vote for Wendy Davis....PLEASE!!! lol....I know you guys won’t.
From at least Conroe through Houston there is discussion to extended the hours for voting today as we had/have ice on roads and probably still do until around 11 am when it should start to melt.
AND, Texans will continue to look like fools for leavin' this GOPe in office with some real GOP voice!
