Now that tens of thousands of gun owners in Connecticut are in direct violation of a hastily-passed gun control law, a video of a fed-up Navy veteran warning lawmakers that he will not comply with the law is just going viral. As previously reported by TheBlaze, as many as 100,000 gun owners technically became felons overnight because they chose not to register their semi-automatic rifles and/or high-capacity magazines.
A man, identified as John S. Cinque, reportedly appeared at a public meeting in North Haven, Conn., on April 22, 2013, to confront lawmakers over the gun control law.
Cinque started by asking if the bill would have done anything to prevent the tragic Sandy Hook shooting. Eventually, Connecticut State Rep. David Yaccarino (R) replied, maybe not.

Im a 30-year public servant, 20-year career fireman, OK? United States Navy veteran, upstanding citizen all my life, three children and with the stroke of a pen from the ivory tower with the gold top, youve decided to create me to be a felon. A class D felony for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Arrest them all, and have each of them refuse bail and demand a jury trial.
That will clog up the system.
It would be great to have thousands turn themselves in, but I understand the ramifications of a felony. Overloading the system is always fun.
That information should be readily available from SS historical records kept in museums.
this isn’t the New England of the Order of Red Man, Sons of Liberty and Green Mountain Boys that would tar and feather a tax collector and light up a harbor over a one cent tax on tea..
They will comply.
These politicians have to send somebody to get these guns right? The people they send have families right? This is a really really bad idea.
You've got to be kidding me. There's no recourse for the people if their government abuses them?
Earlier estimates placed those in noncompliance closer to 300,000, not 100,000. Maybe by making the number smaller they think the demand to enforce the law will be somehow greater.
They’ll probably ‘Randy Weaver’ a few of them just to see which way the wind blows...
How about starting a recall for these putrid excuses for government officials?
I want one thing that will vindicate all the legal gun owners. I want statistics of illegal shootings/murders kept of whether legal guns or illegal guns were involved. If a shooting is found justified they should be in a category of their own. The stats will show that law abiding gun owners are a very small minority of the illegal shootings/murders. Then we can shove that down their registration/confiscation throats. If they published those stats it would be clear that the criminals are doing the shooting and that more laws will not stop them.
If push comes to shove, implement Rule 308...
.
Ping, of possible interest...dark clouds are forming.
Pray these 100 thousand or so can hold out for a while, let things heat up, the the rest of the country weigh in, let gun owners organize. Connecticut has bit off more than it can chew. Done right, this might send a very loud message.
I see dead people.
And they will wake up in horror drowning in their own blood with their throats slit. Think it won’t happen? That will be the recourse of the citizenry. There are not enough of “them” to suppress 100k who won’t allow themselves to be suppressed. It will be the emergence of American asymmetrical warfare.
Longtime Democrat hawk, Vice Presidential candidate, and well-respected in his state, but out of Congress for one term and he falls silent?

***so how will this resolve***
You must remember, the ones that confiscate live amongst us....
Know what I mean?
“If push comes to shove, implement Rule 308...”
-With extreme prejudice?
Tried looking that up——couldn’t find a good reference, then figured it must be related to rule 223.
