When it comes down to a choice to enforce the law or protect police pensions, the sound of cash will win everytime. Remember the 1992 LA riot battlecry: To your squads, coppers, and drive home.
CT government loses that proposition. Weaver was a ~1:1 trade off, CT runs out of cops long before the resisters run out of bodies at that ratio.
Yes they will. Then we will see what happens. If they have a successful gun grab, it could embolden gun grabbers all over the country. Eventually, across the country, I do not see a peaceful solution to this, no matter how many months or years it will take. Thousands of patriots and gun grabbers could be killed.
It’s not going to a Weaver scenario. They have so many tools at their disposal. Why go to violent confrontation when that is the most likely to result in negative publicity?
It’ll be something like one day a cop pulls you over for a minor driving infraction (probably fabricated).
They put you in cuffs and execute a search warrant on your now empty house.
They find a mag or whatever, seize all your guns, charge you, let you out on bail.
Soon you end up as a convicted felon. Now if you try to acquire weapons, you are facing much more serious charges and the cops/DA don’t have to even bring up the original mag seizure, so they’ll be no sympathy from the public on that score.
Plus you’ve got all the other problems that go along with being a felon. Read “Three Felonies a Day”. They will follow, harass, hound you with impunity and pile up more charges. Plus you’ll have to deal with fines, possibly lose your house, car, child visitation rights, whatever.
None of this beyond the original charge/trial/conviction will make the news. Nobody will care. Nobody will help. At least that is the tyrant’s plan, and experience tells me they are probably right.
That is the likely scenario.
As I have said before: the first KIA will be the Rule of Law when the first body hits the floor. The die is cast and the Law of the Jungle has replaced it. All bets are off because the political idiots have just declared war on the citizens of the Nutmeg State. Therefore, these politicians, local and state police officers, legal community, news media editors and TV talking heads, and their families have now become legitimate targets of retaliation.
Pay attention you leftist morons because if you kill the innocent citizens of your state, we victims will kill you back. Once the first person dies, the civil war begins.
