The Romeike family sought to stay in the United States because returning to Germany would mean they could not home school their children in that country.
The Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal from a German family seeking asylum in the United States because their home country does not allow home-schooling.
The justices rejected an appeal from Uwe and Hannelore Romeike, who claim the German government is persecuting them because they want to raise their children in accordance with their Christian beliefs.

If they were Mexican or Muslim, this would have never happened
The courts are 100% ant-Christian.
I wonder if Russia would take them.
They would be self-supporting valuable members of our society. Therefore they need to be deported.
A state should grant them ‘state asylum; and protect them from the feds. When are conservatives going to actually fight?
As someone who was born in Germany, and as an educator, I must say I profoundly disagree with the German policy forbidding home schooling.
Why should good Christian folks be deprived of the right to freely educate their children anywhere in the world?
Our governments Common Core is socializing our children just as Germany is theirs. That is an outcome based education I fear. I am as ashamed of America on this day as I was on the day Elian Gonzalez was abducted at gunpoint and returned to communist exile.
Shame on America and Germany. Freedom has flown. God bless the Romeike family.
Claim they are all gay. SCOTUS will give them anything they want.
Should have claimed the kids were gay or transgendered or something . . . they could have stayed forever.
Perhaps one of those cities that give asylum to illegals will protect the Reimekis.
...meanwhile they come across the borders by the thousands...illegally or they over stay their visa’s....but they are here
The Supreme Court grants them asylum. This becomes the law of the land. Mexico bans homeschooling. Millions of Mexicans use this as a pretext to come to the U.S. Are we still for it?
I’m calling contacting Perry because I think it’s the kind of thing he’s do. Guys, we have to help this family.
The did not have standing

It's a tax.
This is a travesty.
Not a bad idea.
Just tell the court: It’s all about the homo sex, you all.
I don’t believe that.
This family was living on a farm in Tennessee, not bothering anyone, not on the taxpayer dime. However, they were not safe from the bigoted anti-Christian Injustice Dept. and Obama’s persecution. Everyone should take a lesson from this episode as to how Christians will be treated in the future in America.
Now THAT’S good sarcasm...
