In New York, money talks and bullshit walks.
Lawyers fee was probably in the tens of thousands. More I hope.

So if you fail the test you should just wait a few hours and then try again? Sweet.

so, because she had an excuse, and she is a Kennedy, she is not held to the same standard someone else would be held to.

We are supposed to accept the “I’m a Kennedy” defense.

Typical dumb NY jurors, she was driving while impaired by drugs, yet was acquitted of driving while impaired by drugs. She's royalty and just another Kennedy, who gets away with philandering, homicide, public drunkenness, harassment, rape and on and on. Not to mention old Joe the patriarch who wanted the US to be an ally of Hitler while he conducted his financial swindling.

Can you imagine trying that for DUI with booze?

Maybe so. Was it her first offense?
To: Wolfie
Ah, the world’s greatest criminal justice system. Commit one crime, get acquitted of another crime or plea bargain to a third one.
By the way, I didn’t know that purposeful taking of a sleeping medication, of which she was acquitted, was a crime.

The question is intent. Purposely taking a sleeping medication is not a crime. She was not charged with that.
Driving under the influence of a medication is a crime. She admits that she did that, but that it was an accident and not her intent. The jury believed her (fair enough) and acquitted her of drugged driving.
But I wouldn’t try an “I didn’t intend to get drunk at Happy Hour” defense if you get popped for DUI.

Driving under the influence of a medication is a crimeThat's right, but she was declared not guilty of 'intent'! That could work for any crime with an O.J. jury like this one.
