Obamacare Its a Tax
Theres no escaping it.
Restaurant chains in Florida are adding an Obamacare surcharge on customers bills.
So now you can see how much of your purchase is going to fund the Democrats Un-Affordable Care Act. CNN Money reported:
Several restaurants in a Florida chain are asking customers to help foot the bill for Obamacare.
Diners at eight Gators Dockside casual eateries are finding a 1% Affordable Care Act surcharge on their tabs, which comes to 15 cents on a typical $15 lunch tab. Signs on the door and at tables alert diners to the fee, which is also listed separately on the bill.
The Gator Groups full-time hourly employees wont actually receive health insurance until December. But the company said it implemented the surcharge now because of the compliance costs its facing ahead of the Affordable Care Acts employer mandate kicking in in 2015.
The costs associated with ACA compliance could ultimately close our doors, the sign reads. Instead of raising prices on our products to generate the additional revenue needed to cover the costs of ACA compliance, certain Gators Dockside locations have implemented a 1% surcharge on all food and beverage purchases only.

Exactly right! I see this as a protest against Obamacare.
If I catch an obamacare surcharge on my bill, I won’t go back. If that means that I have to stop eating at restaurants, so be it.
Nope. That is how they became sheep. And that is how, not that they gave a damn, put a muslim in the White House.
I have an honest question. Just how much money is Barak Obama making on the side???
But, I believe that you are right, the restaurants will just include the cost of obamacare in their food prices.
Just how much money is Barak Obama making on the side???
*******
Its always about the money. Especially when they say its not. His cronies are not getting poorer; of that we can be certain.
Watch these Obamacare taxes, fees, surcharges, and other costs continue to rise. This is just the beginning.
I’m waiting to see if/when 0bozo will try to pass an EO forcing doctors and hospitals to accept ACA.
It seems there are no bounds to his use of executive orders. Quite frankly, if I was a rabid leftist in his place I would do as I please. The spineless congress is completely impotent and tolerates his abuses. The American people are largely passive and disengaged. The media cheers everything he does. The Dems own the courts.
We essentially live in a dictatorship. With three years left, I expect Obama to be even more aggressive. I wouldn’t put anything past him.
He will only be checked by a calamitous event of some type. My bet is on a severe economic shock but it could take some other form or be a black swan event that nobody can predict. But it will come. America is going to learn the hard way.
if you chose to live in a hovel, that’ll work in the states with confiscatory property taxes.
The big picture of how much one pays in TOTAL state taxes is what matters. We lived in Texas for a while, and many there were in denial that they were actually paying more in total state taxes than if they lived in California. (I did the math on our situation, hardly rocket science but the final tally was surprising).
Every situation is different. If someone makes a ton of money and lives in a modest house, then states like Texas and Florida will be economically advantageous. If they are retired with a lower income and have a more expensive home, not so much.
The best overall no-income-tax states are Nevada and although they have a state tax on dividends and higher sales tax, Tennessee. Their property taxes are pretty low. Alaska may be good too, I haven’t researched it since I don’t consider that an option to move to. Not for me, anyway.
oh, BTW, I didn’t mean the hovel comment personally. My goal is to have one, in the hills of Tennessee - as long as I get 50 acres of those hills, I couldn’t care less about the house. The smaller and cheaper the better, for me. (Less to clean, less property taxes to pay).
And I do agree that in a no-tax, high-property tax state, people get the choice of how much to pay in taxes by choosing which house to buy or in the case of high sales taxes, what other types of items to purchase. At least those are optional, to some extent.
I’ve just found that many people look at the income tax ONLY and disregard all the other taxes. And some states know it and take advantage, sadly.
He’ll unilaterally declare himself president for life like that Mugabe character in Zimbabwe. And both parties would go along with it and the MSM support him.
ANY business that charges me an Obamacare surcharge will no longer see my business.
Period.
