"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

What a thin-skinned moron. Does he realize Jesus's loving mother and stalwart disciples in The Passion were all Jews?

I can never understand the christians who whine about jesus getting “killed” by the jews when the romans also played a part as well. Like it would have been better if jesus had died of old age or falling off a donkey cart for our sins instead..

Another reason why I may not see this film.

"The Passion of the Christ" is a phenomenal film regardless of Mel Gibson's sins/behavior. It really has no parallel in film.

While I think Gibson is a jackass and probably had an ulterior motive, the facts are that the Jewish authorities during this period were largely villainous. Just look at Herod! The temple leaders at this time were horribly corrupt with some exceptions, Nicodemus being the most notable.

My daughter is selling girl scout cookies for homos and abortionist.
CPAC is letting the homos take over.
The GOP is joining in the Communist movement.
I can't afford, or find enough bullets.
Thomas Sowell is worried about his country club membership.
Everything is pissing me off.
I am one pissed off white man.

The Jews (some of them) portrayed in "Passion: were villains. So what? doesn't make all of them villains. The problems some people have is not with Gibson's film, but with the Gospel. Nothing we can do about that.

The bible saga “Son of God” will be “the antidote to the poison that ‘Passion of the Christ’ became,” Anti-Defamation League National Director Abraham Foxman told TheWrap Tuesday.

“It’s almost a disservice to ‘Son of God’ to compare the two,” he said.

It’s been 10 years to the day since “Passion of the Christ” debuted, and it’s still the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever. But it’s remembered as much for the charges of anti-Semitism, excessive violence and prerelease controversy as it is for its $370 million box-office haul.

“Gibson bloodied the Jews by portraying them as such villains,” said Foxman. He was among the Jewish leaders who a decade ago spoke out bitterly against Gibson’s brutal recounting of Christ’s crucifixion, saying its depiction of sadistic Pharisees and stereotypical characters fanned the flames of hatred against Jews.

Can someone remind me of the actual damage or uptick of anti-Semitism that actually occurred because of "The Passion of the Christ"? I don't remember hearing about any. I don't know of anyone who hates Jews because the Jewish leaders of the time were portrayed as the villains in this movie (and they were portrayed that way because that was a historical fact surrounding the events in question). The only "controversy" that came up was BEFORE the movie was released, and it was all generated by attention gluttons like Foxman.

” The story of the crucifixion and the way it has been used through the centuries has never been good for the Jews,” he said.

Get bent with more of your synthetic hurt feelings.

God chose you, he adopted us and told us him the while thing would unfold.

Seems like a good deal for both sides.

Your team acted as players in the fulfillment of the prophecy .

Man, I don’t give a Schevitz about your take feelings.

Ain’t no one throwing rocks at you guys.

In fact, let me say thank you and we are part of the same family

Only problem I got is Giffelte Fish. Disgusting and I’ll eat anything.

Latke’s, Kugle, Matza Ball Soup, Shabat, Purim, Hannukah, Passover and the prayers, as well the formality are all great.

Heck, after twenty years I no longer get called on to ask my very first question that put everyone, at the table in stitches “Why is this night any different from another?”.

LOL!

I didn’t know.

I do now and look forward to Passover.

Luv brisket, latkes, chicken and all the horse radish I can eat.

If I don’t pass out from a really ling and formal observance, which I think will happen this year, as my friend lost his father and it will be very important to him to live his faith on this day.

That’s right, we now need a politically corrected Bible, one that doesn’t offend anyone!

“Gibson bloodied the Jews by portraying them as such villains,”

Nope. They pretty much did that themselves.
All of mankind put Christ on the cross. The Romans provided the venue, the Pharisees provided the motive.

Want to know what has Foxman so steamed? Here it is:

Matthew 3:10 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Luke 20:14ff But when the tenants saw him, they said to themselves, “This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’ And they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and destroy those tenants, and give the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said, “God forbid!”
