“As much as I have mixed emotions about Karl Rove he had a tremendous “gotcha” moment against Gov. Strickland on FSN. Kudos Karl. The Gov was stuttering and stammering after that.”

Dittos - Fight back, fight back hard. A “gold star” for Rove today

Oh yes, a conservative is never allowed to win an argument. So, if a discussion is going that way, the mike must be cut.

Statists are bullies.

I have a favorite website called earthsky.org which has terrific photos of components of our solar system, as well as great information. Anyone who believes that humans living in America can affect our solar system is the real denier of reality.

We live on a little pearl of matter flying around our sun with precision, as we twirl every 24 hours with precision. How that is accomplished is not something that man could replicate or change.

“The GOP has changed their primaries schedule.”

Texas - March 4

A great no. of open, competitive Republican primaries. Many have good limited G’ment candidates

Senator - I hope we have enough votes to force Corndog to a runoff

If I had to name two dumb things we do world wide one would be cutting down the rain forests in South America, that is stupid and China polluting themselves into oblivion. Other than that pollution has been going the other way for years. The hard left must worry about the trend since if the it keeps up they will have little to argue about.
Even in my industry we come out with non polluting natural gas powered outboard motors.

Exactly, one emission from a volcano is more potent than all the pollution we create in a year.

You’ll need to do a search but I remember seeing a listing of state primaries in the last month or so. Sorry I can’t give you a link.

That giant ball in the sky has nothing to do with the temperature according to the Marxists. Only American energy production is causing the temps to rise...er...lower.

And, how many were Medicaid ineligible and are now covered? Medicaid has inflated the numbers but the media does not mention it.

Now, if we could just get them to run on an extract of aquatic compost.

Oh wait....we already do that.

One more:

Spiced Roasted Chicken

Warming spices and a burst of citrus breathe new life into a simple roasted chicken.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 whole chicken (3 1/2 to 4 pounds), rinsed and patted dry, legs tied
Coarse salt and ground pepper
2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled, halved crosswise, and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
2 medium carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 orange, unpeeled, cut into 8 wedges

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a small bowl, combine spices. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then rub all over with spice mixture. Place in a large Dutch oven or heavy pot with a tight-fitting lid. Arrange vegetables and orange wedges around chicken and add 1/2 cup water. Cover and roast 30 minutes. Remove lid and roast until skin is golden brown and juices run clear when chicken is pierced between breast and leg (an instant-read thermometer inserted in thickest part of a thigh, avoiding bone, should read 165 degrees), 30 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes before carving. Serve with vegetables and orange wedges. Serves 4

Yet another bit of RATaganda. Calling MediCaid “insurance” when it is actually medical welfare (RATs hate it when you call it that).

With the big push for MediCaid expansion, many parasites went to Healthcare.gov and did exactly that....signed up for MediCare and got counted as “insured”.

Pat,
Be thankful it’s just 1 street.

King County is the county that includes Seattle and some of the surrounding cities and towns. For a long time it was just King County and the logo was a crown, but then everything had to be changed to ML King. We have a street (through central Seattle) that was changed to ML King Way - - I’m fine with that. But, to change an entire county’s reference to which “King” as well as the logo (more recent one has ML King’s face on it). This is no small county - 13th most populous in the US and most populous in WA State. I’m saying this not as necessarily a fan of the original VP King, but they decided to change the reference after many years of history - the Washington territory was created in 1853 and became a state in 1889.

From Wikipedia:
The county was named after William Rufus King who was Vice-President when the Washington Territory was created. In 1986 a motion was introduced by Ron Sims (a black Democrat from Seattle), and Bruce Laing (a white Republican from suburban Renton) to change the namesake to Martin Luther King, Jr.[3] No public votes or hearings were taken on the change.[4]

On February 24, 1986, the King County Council passed Council Motion 6461 five votes to four setting forth the historical basis for the renaming of King County in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.[5] Because only the state can charter counties, this change was not made official until April 19, 2005, when Washington Governor Christine Gregoire signed Senate Bill 5332 into law.

Council member Larry Gossett shepherded the County Council to a public vote on February 27, 2006 to change the county’s logo from a royal crown to an image of King.[6] On March 12, 2007, the new logo was unveiled.[7]

Martin Luther King Jr. visited King County for two days in November 1961

MMMM!

Interesting - sweet potatoes, carrots and orange slices. I am offended with St Patty’s day only a month away - too much orange!

But I am going to try this recipe anyway, Thanks.
