(CNSNews.com) Lake Superior hasnt completely frozen over in two decades.
But an expert on Great Lakes ice says theres a very high likelihood that the three-quadrillion-gallon lake will soon be totally covered with ice thanks to this winters record-breaking cold.
The ice cover on the largest freshwater lake in the world hit a 20-year record of 91 percent on Feb. 5, 1994. ...
I like your thinking! I’ll gladly chip in!
Im a burning bush.
I’m a bleeding volcano.

Dear liberals,
You won. Yes, there is global warming. We spent so much money fixing it, we are now in a period of global cooling. Millions will die from starvation and hypothermia.
Hope you are proud. NOW FIX IT!!!

Actually, and somewhat paradoxically, the world’s levels of sea ice have been dropping in the past couple of months. Last year, they were actually above the 40-year average, but they recently dropped below it. Maybe it’s because the extreme cold weather has shifted south and the Arctic sea ice hasn’t expanded as much as during a normal winter.
Ah, a philosphy doctorate in ice.
see my tagline.
Talk about cabin-fever!!
Ah yes the irony. To each his own I suppose.
Every newsroom cube in America has this bullet list somewhere on their wall.
What is that? Are Satan’s minions pow-wowwing with the Children of the Corn?
“You have to graduate from junior ice school, first.”
I tried Ice School briefly, but when they made us sing the school song every day before classes, I couldn’t take it and dropped out.
Please....no more “Ice Ice Baby”!

I thought the largest freshwater lake in the world was Lake Baikal in Siberia.
According to Wikipedia: Lake Baikal is the most voluminous freshwater lake in the world, containing roughly 20% of the world’s unfrozen surface fresh water,[4][5] and at 1,642 m (5,387 ft),[1] the deepest.[6] It is also among the clearest[7] of all lakes, and thought to be the world’s oldest lake[8] at 25 million years.[9] It is the 7th largest lake in the world by surface area.
I love it when journalist check their facts before writing an article.

I actually chilled my beer in Lake Superior in late August. This warm water being pushed below by winds is a crock. More sophistry by the global warming cult to try to make their fallacious theory fit the actual data.
We function in different ways, but we do function. Sure, some of us love to do 360s on the highway, some of us have frozen fish tosses, and some of us (but I will so NEVER!) even do the Polar Bear jumps.
Me, I decided to just embrace this winter which will be with us until probably after Easter. I found my cross-country ski boots, treated them for aging, and had my figure skates professionally sharpened. Why, you ask? Well, I figure if I can spend 40 minutes in 7 degree weather, with wind, to teach our dolt dog to heal in our neighborhood, I can spend 40 minutes doing something fun!
And we also have the Winter Olympics to watch...we feel so Superior to Sochi, because Sochi is so frikkin' warm! (we mask our jealousy well, doncha think?)
I think the warmist theory was for the oceans, especially the Pacific. As others have pointed out, it's crap.
lakes “flip” - once in the spring and once in the fall - having to do with the epilimnia and hypolimnia and water/temp density - Cold water is on top in the winter - warmer is below at the thermocline...in the spring - warmer comes back to the top - quite dramatically as whole lakes become very turbid for a period - I know this because fishing for trout obligates a knowledge of this
We really can't stand it either, just used to it. ...always in search of the AC.
