Returning to The View seven years after departing in an angry, liberal tirade, Rosie O'Donnell sat down with Barbara Walters and some of her former colleagues on Friday. Updating everyone on life since the show, she revealed that Parker, her now 18-year-old son, will be attending the Citadel. The 9/11 truther snapped, "...How do you annoy your left-wing liberal pacifist mother? You become a big military man." [See video below. MP3 audio here.]
O'Donnell admitted she interrogated her son as to why he made such a decision and he responded, "Only in America, mom, could somebody like you who came from a horrible childhood, grow up and adopt kids like me who needed a family and I owe something to this country." In her typically loud tone, O'Donnell mock screamed, "No, my son. You owe something to me!"
Rosie O'Donnelll: My Son Joined the Military to 'Annoy' His 'Left-Wing,' Pacifist Mother'
The liberal entertainer's views about America might cause some awkwardness with her military son. In 2007, O'Donnell fumed, "I just want to say something. 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists?"
On numerous other View appearances, she famously promoted 9/11 conspiracy theories, hinting that even Rudy Giuliani may have been in on the plot.
During the "hot topics"segments on Friday, the hosts discussed the drug-related death of Philip Seymour Hoffman. According to O'Donnell, doing drugs is the same as cancer:
O'DONNELL: It's about time we stop shaming addicts and we understand that it's a disease. In the same way we would never yell at anyone. "Oh, my God. You have cancer. I cannot believe you. You are so morally corrupt. We shouldn't do that to drug addicts."
Journalist Walters introduced the comedienne by admitting, "...We had some bad times, but they were never boring."
Mostly O'Donnell steered clear of outright political issues. However, when recounting a heart surgery she had, the comic recounted:
O'DONNELL: And when they [the doctors] came back in, they said, do you want to be shocked back to life?...I said a sentence I never thought I would utter, I said, "doctor, I am adamantly pro-life."
The segment ended with Walters promising return appearances by O'Donnell.
A partial transcript of the February 7 segment is below:
O'DONNELL: Parker is 18. There he is in his military uniform. He's been accepted to the Citadel. He's very into the military because, you know, how do you annoy your left-wing liberal pacifist mother? You become a big military man. He's the number one cadet at his school, Valley Forge Military Academy. He's very interested. When he was really, you know, I said to him, "Why, honey? Why do you want to do --' He said, only in America, mom, could somebody like you who came from a horrible childhood, grow up and adopt kids like me who needed a family and I owe something to this country." And I said, "No, my son. You owe something to me."
She makes it sound like he got drunk and enlisted. Not everyone who wants to gets into the Cid does so it is something to be proud of.
He’s paying her back also by being one who will keep the bad guys at bay. Contrary to her beliefs, people who want to do us harm can only be stopped one way. By well trained good men and women doing what’s necessary to prevent them from doing us evil.
She still never said where she thinks things like her armed bodyguards come from.
(Don't be a smart @$$ in response).
What will really annoy Rosie O’Donut is when his platoon is ordered to shoot American civilians and they refuse to do so. O’Donut will, hopefully, go into a rage and suffer a massive coronary, dropping dead right into the gutter from which her bio-parents first copulated and produced her/it.
Parker also attended Valley Forge Military Academy for College prep. A lot of kids go to these schools to get into the Service Academies.
I am sure his attendance at Valley helped get him into the Citadel, not an easy accomplishment.
Is there a way we can buy that kid a beer?
Just an ugly cow (no offense to bovines.)
Second, drug addiction is a self induced problem. Not taking or giving personal responsible for a parsons action is just a great big lie. I used to smoke but I stopped when I realized that it was bad for my health. I did not get government funding and did not draw social security disability because I was addicted to nicotine. I made up my mind to quit and I did, all by myself. At one time I drank too much so I quit that too. That was me taking responsibility for myself.
I have friends who are recovering addicts and involved in AA and NA. They admit that their addictions are because of their own choices and that they are the ones who have to stop, quit, and avoid what they are addicted to and deal with life. Addiction is a situation that a person puts themselves into. Period.
This loud mouth witch is an insult to humanity. She is an insult to every responsible citizen of our nation. She can be whom ever she wants to be and so can everyone else but they have no right to then want or expect me to foot the bill for their ignorant and stupid life's choices.
She should be proud of her son. He is serving this great nation. She on the other hand does nothing that I feel is a contribution to our nations greatness. I never could stand this witch and after this I have an even lower opinion of her.
And someone really gives a rats patuuty about Rosie.
What qualifies Rosie as a “pacifist”? She’s an angry feminist. Nothing peaceful about that lifestyle.
Just like everybody else, silly.
Hold a big Press Conference and announce the adoption.
in about 3 years
Thank you young man for showing us there still is hope for this country.
"Why, honey? Why do you want to do --' He said, only in America, mom, could somebody like you who came from a horrible childhood, grow up and adopt kids like me who needed a family and I owe something to this country." And I said, "No, my son. You owe something to me."I like the kid, and no, he owes her nothing.
That makes more sense, but not in anyway a reasonable outcome of process.
Looks a lot like my Aggie ring.
Spot on.
Not to mention how this wacko O’Donnell chooses life...only when it’s HER life.
Someone as obviously mentally ill as Rosie should never have been allowed to adopt, but, perhaps, money talks.
