It is not just those who are pundits that are angry, but the vast majority of Americans who speak English are enraged.

everyone who doesn’t want their money taken to buy Coke for welfare recipients ahould be angry.

The purpose of the ad was to paint as racist anyone who wants SNAP to pay for food and not sodas.

C’mon. It wasn’t the Star Spangled Banner. We’re beautiful in every language.

I think a bigger disgrace is the renditions of the star Mangled banner supposedly in English.

I’ve been a loyal Coke drinker for decades, but I’ve had my last Coke.

Last night I was at a restaurant for dinner. I asked them whether they had Diet Pepsi, but they told me they only had Diet Coke.

I ordered a sparkling water with lime.

I am so done with Coca Cola. And I am not a pundit.

It is not just those who are pundits that are angry, but the vast majority of Americans who speak English are enraged.

… that's idiotic.
America is beautiful, and other countries know it — one would have an argument if it was our national anthem, but it's not.

The Commercial in Question

Outrage feels good. Why did we embrace the Cheerios ad and reject the Coke ad? Pretty much the same message,

This bit of “non-news” news is part of the marketing by the ad agency. Same with the Cheerios commercial.

• Create up a nice ad with a little edge, a tease, a little morsel. This is the bait.

• Wait for the “fish” to bite. Harvest any anger over the commercials from social media (Twitter, Reddit, etc).

• Create tsk-tsk PR news releases to feed to the MSM. “Can you believe how hateful some people are about a family/singing/puppies/apple pie”. It does not matter that it is one whack-a-doodle in his Mom’s basement posting the hate.

• Local news runs the PR releases as a story, mentioning the product, but of course!

• These “news stories” feed back into social media sites, talk radio as call-in subject-bait, etc. Product is mentioned yet again. People go to YouTube to watch the commercials.

Now that’s what you call an ad buy worth its weight in gold. It’s all advertising. It’s not real. Don’t be played.

We should not take our cultural and moral guidance from Corporate America, whatever they are proposing.

Its a recipe for disaster

I think a lot of folks get romantic when it comes to various cultures and languages. And I will admit to liking to be exposed to those myself. Different foods are great, having been brought here and introduced to U.S. Citizens. This romantic notion is not what we’re addressing here.

In my locality there are many areas where English is not spoken. I’m not talking about a few first generation people. I am talking about people who have been here for twenty years plus.

How do we ever expect to keep our identity as a unified nation, if vast portions of our landscape is inhabited by people from other lands, who don’t care about being part of a unified U.S.

And while some of you will talk about them actually being productive, you don’t have the slightest idea what you are talking about. There are regions in this nation where the inhabitants are mostly takers. They get on government programs. They stay on them.

They live in big homes, drive new cars, wear expensive suits, have gold jewelery dripping off them, have a huge roll of bills in their pocket, and they get food stamps, medicare, medi-cal, supplemental income...

If you ask them for a co-pay, you get the dagger look from their eyes.

Folks, you’re living in a dream world where you think the U.S. is just the same as it ever was, if you’re not grasping what I’m talking about here.

Why is it important that we have a unified language? Take a look at the Balkin states. They fight viciously due to the inability to identify with each other. Is that what we want here? It’s what is being created here. Well scratch that, because in large part it HAS been created here.

Yes, each of us can point to places in the past where foreign language zones existed in localized places. In Southern California today, there are more zones like this, than there are zones where English is spoken on a regular basis. You can’t call literally hundreds of thousands of homes in Southern California and converse with the home owner, or the dweller.

In Los Angeles less than 50% of the adult males can function in remedial English well enough to function in a business setting.

So while some of you come here to defend this, the rest of us find it really strange how little you care to become knowledgeable to have a clue what is going on in your own nation.

The LA Unified School District has to deal with over 160 different languages. When our ballots go out, they are printed in at least five languages where I live.

You tell me, do you think people who can’t understand English have a full grasp of the political issues facing our nation? Do they understand that we are not racists, just because we don’t want to be over-run by tens of millions of foreign national illegals?

Do you find yourself wondering why Hispanics vote for the Democrats in large numbers? Could it be that they are being gamed by La Raza, MALDEF, and the myriad of other illegal alien supporting groups that speak their langage, and are safe in doing so, because these folks can’t hear the truth in English?

Yep, just waltz into these threads and act as if you are not a racist because you can’t grasp the issues surrounding this mess, and pride yourself that you aren’t a racist like everyone else who can. That’s going to strengthen our nation immensely.

Proving that there’s a bright side to everything, the news today that Coke (and other sugary soft drink consumers) are 3x as likely to die young due to heart attacks ...

So have a Coke and a smile and drink up, Libs!

The article is framed with the usual ultra-liberal slant. The choice is between "angry right-wingers" and "diversity" which magically is equated with a "melting pot." In fact they are opposites. This is the usual language inversion game so loved by the radical Left.

Conservatives like me are outraged because there is no longer an American "melting pot" in which newcomers become Americans. Instead our great nation, whose founding documents are written in English, has become a Balkanized polyglot anarchic mess. And there's a dictator-in-waiting.

Over the last forty five years, the leftists have hated Coca-Cola as much as they hate Walmart now.

Coca-Cola was the epitome of all that was evil about corporate America.

Now, because of this advertisement, they are having a love fest for Coke.

The juvenile Coke executives that approved of that commercial knew exactly what they were doing and only did it to poke a stick in the eye of conservatives and the lovers of the USA in general. Corporate board rooms are replete with spoiled Ivy League-rs that have been indoctrinated in cultural Marxism and gloBULLism. The commercial itself was pathetic.

It was just stupid all the way around. So Coke wants to sell their crap soda in South America and the Middle East. The last thing you would think they would do was use America the beautiful to do so.. Doesn’t make any sense...
Sure as hell isn’t going to raise sales in America the way they did it............
