During a Google Hangout session on Friday, fry cook Darnell Summers told President Obama that his hours were cut due to the Affordable Care Act. “We were broken down to part time to avoid paying health insurance,” he said. Summers explained that he makes $7.25 an hour and has been on strike four times seeking a wage increase. “We can’t survive, it’s not livin’,” he said.
The president responded by urging states to increase the minimum wage. “I am working to encourage states, governors, mayors, state legislators to raise their own minimum wage,” Obama said. “Obviously, the way to reach millions of people would be for Congress to pass a new federal minimum wage law. So far, at least, we have not seen support from Republicans for such a move.”
The president did not address Summers’s comments about the healthcare law.

Bingo. We all know who he probably voted for. The Left is now getting to sample the fruits of their idiocy.
I guess it never occurs to him that he should either start his own restaurant or food service business, or go back to school and get an education that will make all his problems moot..................

It really is the goal of Obastard to eliminate full time employees with their private group insurance coverage.
And what better way to do that by forcing an increase in the minimum wage which forces employers to lay off and hire part timers only which means NO BENEFITS which means the US can have a majority of WalMart employees who are stuck with FUBOCare.
That’s exactly what the Asian immigrants do around here, anyway. They started with mobile food trucks and go around to construction sites and factories at lunch time. Now they have their own restaurants..................
A local millionaire here was a 14 year old boy on one of the Vietnamese boats full of refugees after the war and came here with literally nothing in his pocket and only the clothes on his back. Now he is a real estate investor and developer....................

Gee, it is almost like this administration is “nudging” people into breaking the law... soon to be shoving people...

Well so they can selectively enforce the law against only the lawbreakers that go against them...

Anyone doubt who this chump voted for (and why) the past two presidential elections, and if it were possible, who he’d vote for again in a third presidential election?

Obama’s off-the-record response: “Hey, man. The increase in the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.40 an hour will make up for the cut in your hours.”
Okay, let me get this straight.
Darnell said his employer must cut his hours because they cannot afford the cost of Obamacare, right?
And Obama’s response to that is to force the employer to pay even more money to Darnell in wages while at the same time the cost of Obamacare continues to increase.
Is that about right?
Right, you can bet he voted for “O” because he wanted free stuff.
It never occurred to him how the ‘free stuff’ would be paid for.
How immature and stupid do you have to be to reach adulthood and STILL think there is anything in this world that’s free?
That way when the minimum wage is increased Darnell can be without any job.
Takes a lot of money to “start your own restaurant.” Guess nobody here watches “Chopped” to find out how hard restaurant cooks work or how many of them dream to start their own businesses. Rather than beat this guy up, I wish him luck in getting ahead. At least HE’S woken up to Obamacare.
I had a minimum wage job once...when I was fifteen...
