Plus people living in this NE corridor die regularly being hit by these trains.

The track beds have been in place since trains were invented, and they are not safe for high-speed trains.

Stepinawfulpis cross examining Ryan on remarks about and from the Pope regarding capitalism.

He just asked Ryan if he thought the Pope would endorse his budget. (what an idiot)

Ryan laughed and said: “Of course not, the Pope doesn’t endorse budgets.”

They want to build it here at over $10 million per mile. It is absurd and we have around a dozen people who have basically stopped it. We are having a vote in March that will effectively kill it.

People used to travel a lot by train. Think WWII, for example. However, they stopped using the train. It was a choice consumers made.

Why does the government think that just because they spend taxpayers’ valuable money on new trains that people will suddenly flock to them?

Some see a devious plot, but I don’t. I see stupidity and a childlike desire to really wish something would be true because they like it. Facts mean little. Wasting hard-earned money is easy when you’re immature and stupid.

Good Seahawks Sunday morning, AB and all.

“Go Seahawks! It’s Bronco breaking time!”

Amen!!! Can’t wait for the the game. Hope my guys do really well!

I respect Manning, he’s a great QB, but I’m getting a little tired of much of the press - - a lot of all Manning and the Broncos will win because of him. That said, I’ve been reading sites all week that I rarely, if ever, go on: Fox Sports, ESPN, Bleacher Report, NFL on-line, etc. and there have been some good articles about the Hawks. I hope our offensive line gets its act together and protects Wilson and that #3 (the jersey I’ll be wearing later today) has a good day and that the Legion of Boom shuts down Manning.

Looks like FNC is siding with Denver this a.m. - - Elway and Peyton’s dad, Archie. They couldn’t find anyone from the Seahawks org or that was a Seahawks supporter to show up???

Go Seahawks!!!

it’s due to the Superbowl. They know peoples’ television minds are elsewhere... Not politics.

If half as many people, were half as enthusiastic about their own self-interest via politics, as they are about football...we would never have gotten into this gawdawful quagmire.

My prediction for the game? The team with the most points in the end will win. Sorry SC, but being from Tennessee I’ll be pulling for the horse team.

Remember this fraud is an exposed lying hack who regularly confers with democrat officials in order to spin the news.

A political activist posing as a journalist speaks to like minded democrat political hacks at White House about how to spin the news in their favor. Note the picture in background of democrat contemplating breaking his marriage vows (again) and doing Marilyn Monroe.

Stepinawfulpis just asked Paul Ryan: “If Obama is violating the Constitution, why don’t you impeach him?”

BINGO, yes indeedie why?

The GOP IS AFRAID OF THEIR OWN SHADOW and it is way past time for a new party that will uphold their sworn oath.

When I lived in Jamaica decades ago, there were two labor unions that lined up with the two political parties. Faction fighting reminded me way back then of the intensity that Americans had for choosing teams/leagues in baseball - back then baseball was the national sport where everyone had a favorite.

I felt very smug that we Americans used our loyalty for a sport rather than civic disrest.

I don’t know what’s going on in Jamaica these days, but our political parties have turned into the seriously opposing divisions that Jamaicans knew back then. It is so unhealthy. After an election there, the construction workers, for example, and the people in ‘government’ housing, expected the working men and the householders to be removed instantly in favor of the new party members. I mean protests at the building sites the day after the results were in!

TW Panel

None are giving Obama accolades for his grand SOTU. Most thought it pretty lame. Donna Brasil blames the Republicans for stopping anything Obama wants to do. Navarro (?) says it was mostly lame duck.

Good prediction, animal. That’s ok, pull for the Broncs, but I think (hope)the Seahawks will pull out a win at the end.

A rock radio station in Seattle has been doing parodies to various songs and put 4 up on their site on Friday for download or just for listening.

I think my favorite is Denver Broncos (medley is Desperado - - one of my all time favorite songs):

contemplating breaking his marriage vows

From what I have heard and read about 'him', he never seemed to have much trouble 'contemplating'. His Bro, even less so, although it seems Bro's playing on both teams is a relatively new revelation.

I also think that people forget in Europe, the distance between major population centers are short enough that high-speed trains are viable. The best example of this is the Thalys service (jointed owned by SNCF in France, NMBS/SNCB of Belgium, and Deutsche Bahn in Germany), where 300 km/h (186 mph) train service links Paris with cities in Belgium, the Netherlands and some cities in Germany--and it is a very popular service.

Steffie knows an impeachment charge would go nowhere in Reid’s Senate. IIRC, impeachment requires 67 votes. It wouldn’t even get 100% of the Republicans in the Senate.

I have posted many times recently that, if The One ever gets impeached, it will be led by Democrats, not Republicans.

Bama fans will never root for the War Eagles and vice versa. Now that is a rivalry worth watching. Throw the records out. It’s Alabama vs Auburn. Doesn’t get much better. You have a point though. Not nary a fan in Alabama will be pulling for Denver.
