Fix has to be in.
GOP/RNC gets little money from us anymore and rightly so. we all donate to individual candidates or locals. That leaves big business or special interest lobbyists with all the time the need to coerce our side and seems they have done a really good job of getting us to commit political suicide all for the cause of cheap labor.
Maybe in some parts of the country.
The fabled Polar Vortex has sure started kickin' butt out here in flyoverville. Again. Or yet.
Had about two weeks' worth of mild weather, which cleared most of the ice/packed snow off roads, but got colder and started snowing again last week and forecasts look like we're going to just get MORE cold and more snow on top of that "old" foot or so. ("MORE" cold = below zero stuff for daily high temps.)
Not really a problem (I've been driving in snow/mountains for fifty years now), but I'm beginning to regret making that prediction about "if our November weather was like our normal February, February's going to be a real b...."
I'll hope for the best for all of you guys, but...
don't
take
those
snow
tires
off
just
yet.
No Rod, go back and read my post (with links) about this last week. They have a call EVERY DAY!
Every MORNING! For the past 17 YEARS!
If we can get a united front here and on talk radio and possibly FNC we just might get the RNC/GOP to do the right thing and not do any immigration bill before 2014 elections. After that we need to demand border security first as Hannity has been screaming bout forever.
Fortunately for us strong border security will kill any immigration bill since that's how the DNC gets it's new voters now.
The push is coming from the GOP's corporate paymasters. They have made it quite clear, including thru a public letter, that they want amnesty and an increase in the guest worker programs. Money is the mother's milk of politics.
If "immigration reform" is so important, why is it so important to do it this year? Why not wait until next year when you can get your own bill through both Houses without having to be bullied by Hairy Reid, agreeing to their agenda, and letting them get all the political credit just in time for the elections?
It depends on what you mean by immigration reform. If the Reps were to gain control of the Senate, would they invoke the nuclear option on legislation? We had 14 Rep senators sign on to the Gang of 8 amnesty bill. What kind of bill would come out of the senate? And whatever comes out will be vetoed by Obama.
An added bonus to not doing it this year is you're not alienating your own base just before an election, threatening your own survival as a political party, your control of the House, and blowing a chance for massive victory in the Senate.
The GOPe may be counting on conservatives to hold their noses again and vote for them. They are mistaken, but they seem to be operating on different assumptions than most of us are.
We all know there aren't any adults left in the Donk Party. But aren't there at least a few in any leadership positions in the Stupid Party - or has the entire political establishment gone stark raving mad on loco weed and are intent on stampeding the entire country over the cliff along with themselves?
The Dems have effectively stampeded the Reps into believing that they must do something to gain the Hispanic vote, which will continue to grow and make the Reps the permanent minority party.
Me and my granddaughter did a review of Rush Revere...link below.

No question! Our best hope is that we don't self-destruct with an immigration bill before Nov. After that we have to start all over if we even win that.
Good morning Pat. Couldn’t agree more. We have a government out of control. The IRS and NSA scandals are the most frightening of all. We have turnkey tyranny. All it takes is a malevolent President to turn the key and the country is lost.
OMG I had no idea, that is huge.I recall hearing about Mondays several times but had no idea it was every day.
No wonder they are so polished on the air.
Results for 1998 2000 +/-Although the GOP Lost two seats (RATS only picking up one) the GOP kept control of the House by a comfortable margin.
Republican Party 223 221 -2
Democratic Party 211 212 +1
Independent 1 2 +1
this is an outright lie and our side knows it is. On a national poll immigATION COMES UP NEAR DEAD LAST.
Border security is hard to measure. There are no real metrics, which is why the amnesty supporters like to use it realizing that it can be defined anyway they want. And 40% of the 12 to 20 million lawbreakers came here legally and overstayed their visas. Border security is only part of the problem.
Above is a clip from Pats review of Rush's fine book. Well done Pat!
We being in 1.2 million legal immigrants a year. Two thirds of them will vote Dem once they get their citizenship. Amnesty just hastens the process. The fact is that we have the results of an amnesty every ten years.
I’m pretty convinced most are voting already.
Driver license >> motor voter >> voting booth.
The GOP-E either believes that they can’t go up against zero at all because of the race card being endlessly/skillfully played by the regime. Either that or its a convenient excuse, heard to tell.
In 2006 the Rep controlled Senate passed an amnesty bill (Hagel-Martinez) with the Reps voting against it 32-23. It was stopped by the House, which blue slipped the bill because it violated the origination clause. Bush and Rove got upset with the House. Rove called them nativists and bigots.
If we do get a version of amnesty and the regime starts doing EO’s to it, is it possible to let more than the 12-20 million over here?
You almost got it right.
