PRESIDENT OBAMA: action hero, or bad actor? More than five years after becoming America's 44th president, Obama declared in his State of the Union address last night that his sixth, 2014, would be a "year of action." His proclamation was born partly from resolve to tackle the rising gap between America's rich and poor but mainly from his frustration over getting anything done in gridlocked Washington. The president told Americans in the just-over-an-hour televised address that his political weapon of choice would be the pen - that during the next 12 months he would sign executive orders as a way to address some of the country's many vexing problems. The first and possibly boldest such move, he announced, will be a steep hike in the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour for private contractors winning federal work. "In the coming months, let's see where else we can make progress together," Obama said to a chamber packed with lawmakers facing a midterm election. "Let's make this a year of action. That's what most Americans want - for all of us in this chamber to focus on their lives, their hopes, their aspirations. "And what I believe unites the people of this nation, regardless of race or region or party, young or old, rich or poor, is the simple, profound belief in opportunity for all - the notion that if you work hard and take responsibility, you can get ahead." But the vibe surrounding the yearly Constitution-mandated speech was that little unites the increasingly factionalized people of this nation.

Does NO ONE in the White House know anything about anything? Federal contracts ALREADY have a clause requiring that workers be paid “prevailing wage”. That is what some desk jockey in Washington determines to be a fair rate of pay for every level of work for a government contract. My husband’s company got into government contracting years ago - and the increased paperwork was worth it in the long run because the government sets a MINIMUM bid for jobs that is often two or three times higher than what my husband would have bid in the first place. So lots of profit on those jobs. But in his experience my husband said he never saw an hourly rate lower than $10 or even close to $10 per hour anyway. So more bloviating from a clueless White House.

Although B. Hussein Obama has an aversion to taking credit for his abundant failures, lies, and criminal acts, B. Hussein did a credible job of describing just what his failures were in last night’s State of the Obamanation Failed Union Speech.
B. Hussein waxed eloquent on his description of how the Keynesian “Prime the Pump” stimulus theory of economics has failed without ever mentioning Keynes, or economic stimulus.
It was a masterful slight of hand speech, worthy of B. Hussein’s reputation as a consummate lying, con-artist, (pardon the redundancy).
Now that Commie Obama has been forced to admit that Communism (Mandatory Universal Federal Medical Insurance Tax, aka Obamacare), Economic Stimulus, Fed-controlled low interest rates, and Constitutional violations have made the last 5 years a living Hell for The Middle Class in America, the question I have is as follows:
“Who in the RINO Wing of the Republican Party has learned NOT to repeat what B. Hussein has proven for 5 years to be failed Federal Government policy?”
What say all of you?
Impeachment is an action.
In the 2014 Year of Action, what I really want to see is the following Actions: Empanel a Select Committee on BENGHAZI, Empanel a Select Committee of IRS Targeting of Conservative Groups, the Impeachment and Removal from Office of Eric (The Red) Holder, a In depth Investigation of the DHS and Obamacare Rollout and Implementation, Investigation of the PURGE of our Top Tier Military Commanders and Hearings on the Articles of the Impeachment of Barak Hussein Obama.
Beyond that, I think that should keep all involved sufficiently busy that they won’t have time to screw around with AMNESTY.
I agree, for once, with Obama. Let’s get this impeachment thing rolling. A tyrannical muslim socialist is not fir to be President!
I worked as a federal contractor employee in 1973-76. EVERYONE was paid $13/hour minumum following the federal contract. These OBUMS Obama are morons and know absolutely nothing about anything. Throw the Bum out!

In Philly they have never stopped blaming Reagan.
Nor down in the Mon Valley, where they still blame him for the fact that the mill closed down, has been demolished and replaced by an office park and mall. They are still waiting for the RIGHT politician to get elected and bring the mills back.
Until now, we've had five consecutive 'year of golf outings' years.
I call for a year of action too.
