Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:
On this day in 1973 the Paris Peace Accords were signed. Although controversial, this treaty resulted in the release of our American POWs in Vietnam. Among them was John McCain. Our courageous POWs had endured unimaginable punishment at the hands of enemy captors in their sacrificial service to country. Our appreciation for them cannot be adequately articulated.
So many of these vets and POWs have continued to serve our country in private life. Theyre still fighting for America and showing their love of country in all they do. Some like Congressman Sam Johnson of Texas and Senator John McCain serve us in the halls of Congress today.
I consider Senator John McCain an American hero and a friend. He fights to remind our President that the federal governments first priority must be strong defense of our homeland, and, like Congressman Johnson, he fights against big-spending colleagues who dont prioritize for our militarys needs. Upon the Senators shoulders hes carried part of our message of opposition to todays fundamental transformation of America directly to the problem: President Obama and Harry Reids far left agenda.
I appreciate Senator McCain's steadfastness in demanding truth in the White Houses Benghazi cover-up. Because of his persistence we WILL get that truth, and then more eyes will be open to see how dangerous an Obama-led retreating America is in this volatile world.
It goes without saying we dont all agree on all political issues. For instance, I shall keep pushing to open ANWR, I oppose letting illegal aliens cut in line and receive American benefits via immigration reform, and I oppose any Congressional action that allows President Obama to incur more U.S. debt. During this time of dangerous lawlessness in the executive branch, those who agree on stopping the intended transformation of our country had better unite to fight. So at this time, it's perplexing to see Senator McCains good efforts to uncover the Obama agenda being ignored and perhaps even hindered now by those wanting to censure the Arizona Senator. Despite our differences on some other issues, there is no questioning Senator McCains dedication to national security in spite of the White Houses agenda.
We live in a time of diminishing virtues because of societal influence towards total self-centeredness. This is unfortunate and makes raising families, conducting business, and governing that much more challenging. I know how important the virtue of loyalty is because in politics its pretty much nonexistent. I stand on that most important virtue and answer those asking today: Yes, I am proud to have been asked to run with him in 2008, and he is my friend.
One more thing, if you've met his beautiful mother you know where he gets his tenacity. Roberta McCain is one tough Mama Grizzly.

It should read:
Gov. Palin: Sen. McCain Dedicated to National Socialism
Thoughts?
Sarah just ratcheted herself down a few notches
YOU are the only reason I pulled that lever in '08.
Funny how McCain will stab her in the back at the drop of a hat, but she will seemingly defend him to the death. She owes him nothing.
But, every bit of bravery he displayed towards his country and comrades as a soldier, has been tarnished by his disregard for his fellow citizens as a privileged beltway celebrity.
...and I don't give a damn about his so called conservative rating!
My reply...
How about featuring a POW who has served honorably since his release.
Enough with McCain, Sarah. You’ve more than paid your debt.
Palin’s tone deaf when it comes to McAmnesty. Truly sad.
No kidding. And for all her trouble, he has returned nothing and called her political compatriots “Wacko Birds.”
I have to agree.
C’mon, Sarah! Your debt is paid to this anti-conservative ... human. You don’t need to keep helping this man. Enough, already! Don’t you have enough knives in your back from this clown and his staff? Where was his voice in your defense when you were being attacked unmercifully after the 2008 election, being blamed for his loss? Haven’t you been shivved enough? To McLame, you are a “wacko bird” and a Tea Party hobbit. He is part of the problem, the GOPe that will stop at nothing to keep people like you and Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and other rock-solid conservatives from trying to wrest away their minute power.
Stop, Sarah, Stop!
I pulled the lever for both of them, and it was the first time that I had ever made a political donation in my life. And this will surprise a lot of you, but I did it because McCain picked Palin.
Now, as to McCain, I’m not thrilled with him, but if you’ll recall back in 2008 when Rick Warren interviewed both McCain and Obama, McCain came out head and shoulders above Obama.
I hope this isn’t some kind of a prelude to that geriatric, leftist tool running again. Please, let him retire, and quit serving this country. The country can’t take much more of it. Let him go home to the riches of his wife’s beer business to live in luxury and accolades, far away from where he can be a wrench jamming up the cogs of progress.
Does the Manchurian McCain have something on a member of Sarah Palin’s family we don’t know about?!?
Gov. Sarah, there is no need to attempt to defend this sad creature. He has shown US what he truly is at the center of his core being. He is not one you should endow with such praises. This is twice now that you have disappointed me, personally. Please, please drop the praise and allow him to fade peacefully into the night. If only he was worthy of such, we might think differently. But, alas!! he is not. NOT by a long shot. Wishing you the best, with much sincerity.
It's the difference between the words CLASS and ASS.
I’m disappointed by this. I can give her a pass on not criticizing him, but supporting him? He craps on conservatives every chance he gets.
Wow. Too bad.
I guess I differ in my opinion over the importance of the man involved with the Keating Five, the Bail out and the payout to the banks to big to fail in the midst of a campaign.
To say he cares is meaningless, when he is ineffective to advance any conservative agenda, and when he attacks the people whom Sarah Palin now says should be supportive of him. The points on which she disagrees are also of such import that they will harm the national security and future prosperity of the United States, and are not side issues.
Support goes both ways.
Conservatives should not be doing the one way street any longer. That attitude has lost several key elections to put us into this mess.
With all due respect to Ms. Palin, I can never get behind this ineffective obstructionist.
Sen. McCain was once a heroic airman. However, now he is afraid to honorably retire. He instead will use the Senate as his nursing home, as a reward for being a great legislator.
