Obama will deliver yet another boring, adversarial, political speech next Tuesday..a.k.a The State of the Union Address to Congress (though since he's recently told us that he has a phone, and a pen, and doesn't need Congress for jack..maybe he'll boycott it.) John Boehner and Mitch McConnell in consultation with others, will decide who gives the Republican response. So, the question is, who would you like to see respondng to Zero?
I took it as a political cave by apology... but then I sent him $150.00 right after he said it... I have not donated another cent since he “apologized”.
It’ll probably be Cornyn, ripping off Cruz’ resume like he does hourly with his ad in TX.
The ad is sickening: he claims he’s done everything Cruz actually HAS done and Cornyn has never dreamed of doing.
That was a catastrophe because both are/were phonies who we never know what they really believed.
So they both got in interviews and it was always painful to watch.
Recall in 2012 Ryan swearing he was always against the sequester cuts when asked( and always saying that they had to be reversed) , when his 2011 house speech on Budget control act was/is on youtube where he called the bill a historic step in deficit reduction, and could be seen by anyone.
And Romney with is 47% fund raising video.
Painful memories.
The whole mess should be cancelled for lack of interest. BUT, if they insist on having it, then Ted Cruz, Rand Paul or Rick Perry.
Ted Cruz
I'd like to see Joe Wilson walk out at Dear Leader's first lie, and then another Republican follow at each subsequent lie. They could all (when asked) explain that they didn't want to openly disrespect the Community-Organizer-in-Chief but as the lies piled up they didn't think they could control their reactions if they stayed. Even if only 50 or 60 Republicans participated, so that the last hundred or so Obama lies had no one responding, the effect would be wonderful.
Rafael Cruz! The dems could not say a word, and he’d deliver what the republicans could NOT say!
You nailed them... both phonies.
They should just replay the Clint Eastwood “Empty Chair” speech.
Trey Gowdy
Paul Ryan, IMO, is a RINO hypocrite.
Better yet, on Paul Ryan I started calling him a phony here 3 years ago early 2011 when he came out with that first ‘plan’, and he was really popular HERE back then.
In fact there was a mini- Paul Ryan revival here about a year ago. I got cursed at (well almost) again then for my Ryan comments.
When he talks I hear :"BLA-BLA-BLA", he never says anything the least bit thoughtful.
Too bad Andrew Breitbart is no longer with us. He would be my choice.
I would just put together a collection of all the opposite things Obama his’self has said in the past.
I’ll go with Mia Love.
If for nothing more then the entertainment value of watching rat heads explode.
“An empty chair”
Yes!! That’s what I was thinking as I was reading through this! Excellent!

Kind of like the adults on Charlie Brown. I figured that anyone mitt chose was chosen carefully to be a prime match for him... and that in itself should have sent up red flags.
Why not an average “Joe”, such as myself? I may not be as eloquently articulate and am definitely not well-known, but I could connect with the majority of the populace. I would prefer a one-on-one debate, but know that would never happen.
Just seeing Ryan on that first Sunday interview after Romney picked him it was obvious to me that he (Ryan) was picked because he would follow orders and say what he was told. That is why he sounded so clueless.
He even disowned parts of his plan:
Q :”You and Mitt Romney are specific in your tax cuts and increases military spending, but you also claim to balance the budget but don't specify the specific budget cuts that you are proposing to do that. What do you plan on cutting?”
Ryan Answer :”That will be the new congresses job to figure out. We shouldn't tell them what to do
