Amen.
My husband narrowly escaped being killed on Saturday. He was putting gas in his Jeep, and heard the screaming of tires coming in his direction. He jumped out of the way just before a car driven by an elderly lady hit the pumps and his Jeep. She was trying to avoid a drunk driver who was heading toward HER.
The owner of the store told my husband that the video shows him leaping out of the way at the last instant. I really do believe God pushed him, and I’m so thankful, but I’m still shaken up. This world is like a tightrope walk...we have to be ready to leave at any time.

Wow. Just wow. I hope everyone has settled down and is doing ok. Something like that can curdle your milk and leave you in a non-optimum state.
BTW...have you ever heard the piece "Catherine of Aragon" from Rick Wakeman's album The Six Wives Of King Henry VIII?
It is very closely related, thematically, to the piece "Annne Boleyn" on the same album...for obvious reasons. It's one of my favorites.

This world is like a tightrope walk...we have to be ready to leave at any time. Hezekiah was told to put his house in order.
(I think his story is found in Jewish religious writings...)

Praise GOD that he is alright. I have felt the hands of an Angel save me more than once. I know that they are real. I would be dead otherwise.

I understand your thankfulness. Hubby just avoided having a 'widowmaker' heart attack this past summer. He had some discomfort, which felt really strange to him, so we took him to the ER. He had one artery that was completely blocked, and had been for a while, because it had begun to grow 'feeders', and another that was 95% blocked. Doc said it was only a matter of time before he'd had a fatal heart attack. Thank God we found it, so he was able to have a double bypass, and get it fixed! Another blessing was that he didn't have to have a vein taken from his leg or have to go on the heart-lung machine!
We know how very Blessed we are!
