Regarding the pleasant breaks periodically - ever since the middle of October the weather up in Minnesota has been running about 10-15 degrees below the average temperature of that day. Maybe 1 or 2 days of the week we would see a rebound, rarely above the average, and mostly just at the average temp - which feels like balmy weather relatively.
I waited to put out my Christmas lights until early November with the hopes that I would get a day or two that would be in the 45-50 degree range. I finally gave up and had to do it in temps of about 35 degrees. Kinda cold on the hands. but at least I did it before the wires got so cold they would snap.
I wish Al Gore would ship a bit of global warming up to Minnesota this year.

Someone needs to tell the bobo warming idiots that cold air is denser then warm air. Cold air goes where it wants. And apparently it wants to be over Al Gore’s old home.

“Im surprised they havent blamed global warming for the southern hemisphere having cold temperatures during the middle of our summer.....”
Yup, it is really ironic that the GW crowd was iced in on their ship at the time of the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere.

That’s some crazy thinking. What a bunch of loons.

Read an article this morning where the global warming folks were claiming that the polar ice caps are heating up so much it is pushing the cold air out. Some lingering snow made a classmate come up with a real gem early one April: that particular snow was formed when it was so much colder than 32 degrees F, it would only melt at an inversely higher temperature. Forty-five years later, something so colossally asinine would no longer be universally ridiculed
Pity, that.

And its a balmy mid 30f with light snow here in Wasilla AK.

Im surprised they havent blamed global warming for the southern hemisphere having cold temperatures during the middle of our summer. Oh come off it! Everyone knows the extra hour of daylight that daylight saving time gives us causes global warming.

re: freezing the Great Lakes. That would cut down on the lake effect snow. Lake effect snow is a pain.
That depends. If the Great Lakes freeze over and then end up with a lot of snow accumulation on top of them, a good windy storm comes in and you have
what happened to Buffalo in 76/77.
I was a kid living outside of Rochester at the time. My Grandparents lived outside Buffalo. I remember it pretty well ...

Well yeah...and thank God ...and hallelujah!
We just might be able to drive to Put-In-Bay this year!
Ya’ know we haven’t been able to do that since I was a kid and back then...we did it every winter!

I’m going to hop on my Harley and cruise out to El Cajon. The 60 degree weather in Clairemont is a bit chilly. Should be over 70 in El Cajon.

To listen to the liberals, you would swear that man made CO2 emissions are the only factor in our weather and climate. I want to ask the global warming folks:
How is it that CO2 causes both global warming and global cooling. Huh?

"the extra hour of daylight that daylight saving time gives us causes global warming. "
Nope, the days have a high coefficient of thermal expansion. They shrink in the Winter because it is cold and expand in the Summer as it is much warmer then.
I have a math model that says so and can be tested good/true using statistics, just like "Climate Scietists" do (except for the statistics part).
