MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry offered an apology to the Romney family on Tuesday after a panel on her show mocked the fact that one of Mitt Romney's grandchildren was black.
On Sunday's "Melissa Harris-Perry" show, Harris-Perry led a panel in discussing the "Photos of the Year," which included a Romney family Christmas photo. In the photo, Romney is seen holding his adopted grandchild, Kieran, who is black.

What in the comment was incorrect?
What, in any of my comments, was incorrect?
and then there was that recent case where the real father was in the military and I think he was either deployed overseas or went on ahead to another duty station..
His wife was pregnant and for some reason stayed behind for awhile..
She had the baby while he was gone and I think she wrote or called and told him the baby died or he didn’t know she was pregnant..
anyhoo the Mormons convinced her to lie to the legal father and so he didn’t know that his child was alive but STOLEN..
The Mormons KNOWINGLY fraudulently doctored the adoption papers to make it look like he had signed away his parental right s to his own daughter and the little girl was “adopted” by a Mormon family...oh lucky child..
When he found out that he had a child somewhere, he had to fight Morm ons to get her away from them...
I don’t know if he has her back fully yet but he did get “visitation rights” at one point but she was about 2 before he got to meet her..
that female-who-gave-birth and that Mormon adoption agency and that Mormon “family” should all go to jail for kidnapping that poor little girl...
We are waiting for notice that you have delivered the same message to the 75,000 mormon missionaries who go about the world and proclaim to Christians the insulting message that their Christian faith is bogus and the only way to salvation it through arcane rituals in mormon temples.
These 75,000 missionaries trespass unvited on the properties of Christians in an attempt to sway them from their Christian faith trying to convince them that the Gospel of Christ was taken from the earth and only "restored" by Joseph Smith.
It seems obvious that you ignore the messages from the mormon missionaries, the thousands of mormon web pages, the tens of thousands of messages of mormon propaganda being dumped on the world in order to sputter your umbrage at a few dozen FReepers when you can simply refrain from visiting threads here that are addressing the doctrines and practices of the mormon cult.
I suggest you follow your own advice, "There is a time to speak and a time to hold your tongue."
That is not my advice. It is scriptural advice.
I'm done here.
Well, not your name.
Well, stated.
:-)
well bye..
Don’t let the door hit ya ...
In what way?
I don’t believe her apology. Do the damage...fake an apology...rinse and repeat. —— Saul Alinsky
I'll have to admit, that as the practice has become more wide spread; I have these 'feelings' (prejudice?) less and less as I've have experienced mixed couples getting along as well as any others.
I guess even this old dog can learn some new tricks after all.
Since I am rated pretty high as a HATER by the Mormon posters on FR; could you critique MY overall posting and give me a heads up?
To me; it seems most of my feedback here is either 'ATTABOY' or 'STFU', with not much in the middle.
I'm NOT an EX-Mormon, so maybe I can post things they can't?
That is not my advice. It is scriptural advice.
It appears to me that the confusion here is NOT over the SPEAKING part; but how to determine the TIME part.
Come on guys - after all; we ARE on the same team!
Some get more playing time than others on ALL teams.
Saying, “I don’t like the way you plant your feet when you shoot all those 3-pointers” is OPINION - not something that requires the lash!
Oh? Recent posting history raises doubts of that.
Being flamed for posting my "opinion" will be met with a response and I'm sure Graybeard58 agrees.
The story had nothing to do with Mormonism. It was about a white republican family being mocked for adopting a black baby. It could have been any perceived Conservative Family of prominence and the reaction would have been the same.
What the Inmans who chimed in did on this thread was to take a thread about mocking Conservative family values and hijack it and mock the Romney family from a different angle.
I was pinged to this thread to comment on a post. I expressed my opinion on that post and indicated that in my opinion it was out of place and totally uncalled for.
I was immediately attacked by those whom I previously considered my friends and allies. It seems that no matter the context of a story about a Mormon, the reaction of many is to use the opportunity to attack Mormonism.
This was not the thread to attack Mormonism, as the target of the attack by the MSM was not Romney in particular, but all of us who hold to conservative family values in general.
That so many Inmans could not see the folly of their zeal is disenheartening.
There is a time to speak and a time to keep silent. The Inmans would have been better served by exercising a little discretion and to have understood that this time the attack on Romney was also an attack on you and me and every other person holding to conservative values.
Being flamed for posting my "opinion" will be met with a response and I'm sure Graybeard58 agrees.
100% agree
When a brother or sister is under fire, so am I.
. It could have been any perceived Conservative Family
