If a person can't be safe at a Starbucks in the Mall of America at 7PM, I'd think that could be the start of "lights out" for that mall. People just aren't going to go to malls if they don't feel safe in them and with parking arrangements.
On the plus side, thinking like I am here does bring some retail back to hometowns.
