1-megawatt cold fusion power plant now available – yours for just $1.5 million

Believe it or not, the first cold fusion power plant is now available to pre-order. The E-Cat 1MW Plant, which comes in a standard shipping container, can produce one megawatt of thermal energy, using low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR) — a process, often known as cold fusion, that fuses nickel and hydrogen into copper, producing energy 100,000 times more efficiently than combustion. It sounds like E-Cat is now taking orders for delivery in early 2014, priced fairly reasonably at $1.5 million. Has cold fusion — the answer to all our energy needs — finally made its way to market?

Why? ... Because ‘big oil’ runs the world and that means the media spews what they are told to spew.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Cold fusion is still an extraordinary claim. The fact that they can’t even, as one poster said, show where they plug a lamp and toaster into one and they work shows that only a fool would fall for this.

And to be clear, I REALLY HOPE this does work.

I don't get what the big deal is. I did this years ago. Here is my back of the envelope working model. I could easily make a 1 megawatt model if I had another nickel. photo ColdFusion1.jpg

Best advice: buy a chain saw, cut some fire wood.

Well said. It is ALWAYS true that people should be cautious about where they invest their money.

Having said that, we know how the Intelligentsia and media have rigged the grant money process and the media propaganda with respect to Globull Warming... it would seem possible that the bogus politically correct science media could also possibly be manipulating things in energy research as well. Plus, finding an advanced inexpensive form of energy would threaten the power base of many of the powers that be. There are those whose ox could be seriously GORED by any development such as cold fusion.

Rush Limbaugh has been demonstrating how even the sports media has been co-opted.

We should question EVERYTHING which is presented to us from ANY media, about EVERY TOPIC.

Just food for thought.

If this thing worked, it would be cheaper than coal fired, that is why it would be a very bid deal.

If I was shopping for a 1MW power plant, there are other technologies I'd be considering ahead of coal to start with.

I question your working model. You can not pass current between two objects which have the same potential. Toss a dime in there and I think you have it.

Oh I do question it…but the “cold fusion” issue is not just some Solyndra based enviro wacko thing….altho I’m sure there are some relationships there…it is a huge entrepreneurial opportunity if there’s anything to it.

That, and the fact that everything significant was nay sayed at the beginning…were my only points.

Why nickel to copper? I want the lead to gold model with the perpetual motion upgrade.

...I am not sure if I would pay but a small amount prior to delivery and installation.

One third of remaining balance at time of installation; balance upon successful use for a mutually agreed upon period of time.
