The best they re able to say before, was that even with all of the advantages of wealth, children of rich, white lesbians in a supportive community do no better than various-raced single mothers.
Apparently even that looks like it is overly optimistic.
All of the couple of dozen children of gay parents that I know, and know details of, are on psychiatric medications...plural.

The study is two years old. If I recall correctly, the very liberal author was kicked off campus and the subject of a number of violent protests.

At first glance the 98% and the 90% seemed similar to me, as in a “high” percentage of people are decent.
But if you break it down into 1 in 10 gays will molest, but only 2 in 100 straights will molest - that is a HUGE difference.
Conversely, when a heterosexual raises a child and "IT" turns out to be Gay, it does not bring either the child or parents any joy.

It’s the difference between having a known sex offender on every street in your neighborhood or having one in the entire neighborhood.

There is a very long article at the New York Times website that I have given to various people.
The article states outright that children of same sex parents have a very difficult time with gender identity. Sometimes to a point where is provides major disruption in children’s lives.

Obviously, child molestation would be the greater concern but I’m not the person who brought something as trivial as matchbox cars.
If I *own* a store in a mall and a certain group of people are known to shoplift things like sneakers, iPads, jewelry, etc. perhaps you can see a greater equivalency.
But we’re straying off topic. The study is informative and appears to be well-researched. After years of listening to liberals twist polls, I just have an immediate negative reaction to phrases like “10 times more likely” that make one think a problem is epidemic when it probably isn’t.
10 times more likely is epidemic for me. Also for me, I’d rather live next door to a jewel thief than a child molester.
If there are 1000 heterosexuals and 20 homosexuals (2%) in your town, and you live next door to a homosexual, are you more concerned that the gay guy living next to you is one of the 2 child molester gays or are you more concerned that the heterosexual living next to you is one of the 20 heterosexual molesters?
The effacing of “family values” will show as lousy families. It is straight forward.

Homosexuals (and other sex sinners, and really all sinners) are spiritual four-flushers. Satan’s scheme is so simple: he expurgates something important from God’s creation. Or as the bible says, the fool says in his heart “no God.” And the punchline of the situation is that God was never trying to be mean here. It was the devil who is trying to be mean.
