After Phil Robertson, the patriarch of "Duck Dynasty," made controversial remarks about homosexuality that were published in GQ magazine, former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke out in his defense.
However, when asked by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren if Robertson's remarks were offensive and whether or not she had any objection as to how he worded his comments, Palin said she didn't know what Robertson had actually said, Politico reports.
I havent read the article. I dont know exactly how he said it, Palin explained on Fox Newss On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" on Monday.
On December 18, shortly after the "Duck Dynasty" controversy began, Palin took to Facebook where she wrote, "Free speech is an endangered species. Those 'intolerants' hatin and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us."

Sarah looks terribly thin. I hope she is well.
I suggest you get this post pulled and re-post it with the correct spelling. ;)
There, fixed it.
You're sounding eerily like the left in their worship of The Won.
This was the controversial part:
“It seems like, to me, a vaginaas a manwould be more desirable than a mans anus. Thats just me. Im just thinking: Theres more there! Shes got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what Im saying? But hey, sin: Its not logical, my man. Its just not logical.”
It’s kind of crude, but the fact is the homosexual Nazis are really embarrassed about what homosexuality is. They say “that’s hateful and bigoted” because they can’t say “I disagree with what Phil says and I prefer a guy’s anus” without their straight supporters getting grossed out.
You don’t need to read what he said to support his right to free speech. It’s liberals who need to know your opinion before they decide whether you have constitutional rights.
Sarah Palin IS my cup of tea -- Mr. Jim Robinson, Founder of Free Republic
Though I’d vote for her in a heartbeat, over anybody currently on the scene, your adulation of her is nauseating. Reminding me of the hard core Obama voter. (Or Justin Bieber fan)
She obviously read the press accounts of the interview, isn’t that enough? Dems bragged and joked about not reading the health care law they passed - isn’t that a bit more important, Yahoo?
What is up with Palin. She really seems off her game of late. First with the Pope Francis embarrassment, now Phil? WTF?
I think Governor Sarah Palin is doing an outstanding job as she wages war against the forces of evil. Her book is a best-seller, long lines await her at her personal appearances and liberals continue to fear her since she has the heart and soul of a real American.
A brilliant response by someone commenting on all this:

Phil Robertsons dilemma was clear: how do you communicate sin as sinful to a sin soaked culture? His answer was as wise as it was effective. He used both Natural Law and revelation to clearly convey his point. Natural Law is the truths communicated through the design of nature. They are self evident by design. When Phil described and contrasted gay anal sex with Gods design of a womans vagina, his point became immediately clear to nonbelievers. THAT is what made GLAAD so furious. Everyone, be they believer or nonbeliever immediately understood what he was saying and it made sense to almost everyone.
Then he followed it up by using revelation (the Bible) to drive home his point with Christians. By quoting I Corinthians 6:9-10, he also provided the spiritual foundation for his beliefs and thus persuaded a vast number of people that he was right. But it was his use of Natural Law that fulfilled Ephesians 6:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them. Exposing that which is done in darkness to the light infuriated gay activists because people whether believer or unbeliever immediately grasped his point.
Phil Robertson is not only a good communicator. He is a good theologian.
I seriously doubt that she'll run for political office again. I get the impression that she's happy doing just what she's doing now.

That's nothing new for here.
This is an ongoing list of historical, popular, and Biblical people, as well as fictional characters and animals that Sarah Palin has been compared to on FR:
Oh, Palin is doing just fine.
She was commenting on Robertson’s right to free speech, which the Left would like to foreclose.
Palin and Ted Cruz are the only two individuals on the right who have consistently fought this Administration and its Long March to fascism. I give her a pass on most things.
Doesn't matter whether or not Lefties have read the Bible, because NONE of them read it with understanding, 'rightly dividing the Word of God'.
To them, the entire Bible is a disjointed and incomprehensible mish-mash; each Book is a totally separate entity, with no context supplied from other Books, or sometimes, even other chapters of the same Book. To most, any single verse stands whole, in & of itself, no matter its context or even who is speaking: the nonsense of Job's "friends" is, to them, equally the "authoritative" Word of God as Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Certainly, God commanded those words to be recorded; but they are the words and thoughts of pagans, recorded to teach us their errors as a warning to us; and to show Job's steadfastness in the face of their arguments and temptations.
They have no concept of non-linear chronicity, expecting it to read in chronological order, at least within Books and chapters.
They have no concept of viewpoint/perspective, such as Kings being Man's perspective of the WHAT of the historical events, while Chronicles is God's viewpoint of those events from His perspective, telling us, "WHY."
They have no concept of incremental or "unfolding" revelation, where there is not contradiction, but building. I also doubt that they have even heard of such a concept as exhausted prophecies vs unexhausted prophecies with minor*, but yet to come major, fulfillments; vs fully unfulfilled, yet to come prophecies. *Analogous to a 'type'.
They have NO idea the meaning of words that were translated; but they depend upon Webster as their authority as to the meaning of a passage; original language being 'irrelevant'. As for idiomatic phrases, or figures of speech, they are clueless enough in English, let alone in the Bible.
I could go on, but it is too depressing a way to spend Christmas Eve.
Merry Christmas, and I hope I neiother bored you, or also depressed you. ;-)
You didn’t depress me..I have no time to worry about the sickness that infects liberals heads..they are miserable and will always be miserable..I let them enjoy their life filled with misery..meanwhile I’m enjoying the beautiful Christmas music, being with family, enjoying the true meaning of Christmas
I have not read the GQ article either, don’t want to and won’t. I trust Phil and Sarah. Don’t care about their critics or the gay whiners. Religious freedom and free speech are in peril with the PC folk...don’t care about them either. Go Phil! Go Sarah!
