I had false charges filed against me - it is VERY common
Thank GOD I was able to prove I was not at home at the time (not only that, I was in my attorney’s office, on the phone setting up a court date with the judge- she screwed up royally)
But I found web sites on her computer dedicated to framing your husband. One had the title “So, now he’s in jail..; what’s next?”
dang!!
People filing false charges against ANYONE should have to pay the costs of the investigation AND serve MANDATORY jail time. Isn't providing false info to the police a felony in many areas?
I cannot imagine what you went through. At least you could prove you were innocent.
Me too. But while I was staying with my best friend, I made sure to buy something every time I left his house. I kept the receipts because they all have a date and time on them.
I drove the speed limit everywhere I went so that all the times would jibe.
I knew that when I was at his house, he or his wife would alibi me, and when I was at work, the biometrics at the access gates would be solid proof.
Wow, vindictive woman, I’m glad you had a great alibi.
Justice is beautiful when the serve is returned by the hand of God...: )
False charges of sexual abuse means that this lady could lose all custody and visitation rights to their children.
Also, false charges of mental illness could lead to the same.
Yes, it is. It is very low risk for the woman, with a potentially very high reward.
A friend of mine was falsely accused of various crimes, including child molestation, by his wife during their divorce. The divorce bankrupted him and pretty much destroyed his life. After several years of obsessive effort, he finally prevailed in court. His career is in ruins, and I think he will lose his house, but he now has custody of his daughter. His ex-wife was (of course) never charged for her false accusations.
Last week I was sitting in a coffee shop next to two young women who were talking about men being unwilling to commit to marriage. By current standards they were quite sympathetic to men. Men, they agreed, delayed getting married just because they had such a hard time getting in touch with their feelings. That's just the way men are! They can't help themselves!
Beyond clueless.
