I came across this version of “The First Noel” a few years ago. Some of you might remember the alt-rock band; The Crash Test Dummies from the 90’s and their song "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" and the lead singer’s very deep baritone voice.

The video starts out a bit cheesy but I love the sentiment: “Hey you dummies! That’s not what Christmas is all about!” And it is a beautiful rendition.

I love this by “She and Him” – the first new Christmas music CD I’ve bought in many years. I love the simplistic and very stripped down sort of “retro” arrangements and who doesn’t love Zooey Danchell! She’s just so cute!
