Prior to its passage, I was talking with a sheeperal who INSISTED that our present system wasn’t good. When I asked what wasn’t good about it, she said that the insurance companies had too much say over your healthcare.
“And you want the government to have that power instead?”
Yes.
Not much you can say to someone that believes that.

First, you have to understand the mindset of a liberal.
1. They believe that government, all government, is ‘good’.
2. They believe that corporations, all corporations, are ‘bad’.
3. They believe that people, all people, are not capable of making good decisions in their own best interest.
4. They believe that only government can ‘solve’ every problem known to man.
5. They believe that no one should have any more wealth than any one else.
6. They believe that all people are created equal, and they intend to make them stay that way........................

I've had similar conversations with liberals. They truly believe that the people who work for government are somehow better and more noble than the people who are employed in private sector business.
Even if they agree with you that government is more corrupt than business, more wasteful than business and more incompetent than business, they'd still prefer to have government run their lives than choose from alternatives in a free market.
It's a sickness that no amount of reason can cure.
