Duck Dynasty has been sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.
By now you probably know that A&E indefinitely suspended Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty family, for following the teachings of the Holy Bible. Nothing says tolerance and diversity by silencing the Christians and shoving them in a closet.
Between you and me, I think Duck Dynasty ought to indefinitely suspend A&E.
Phil ran afoul of intolerant leftwing bullies after making comments about homosexuality to GQ magazine. When the writer asked Phil what he considered to be sinful behavior, he replied:
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says.
Then he paraphrases Paul’s letter to the Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers -- they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
That comment went over about as well as a Chick-fil-A sandwich at a gay pride parade.

In the latest update on this braking news item, grass is still green and the sky is STILL blue.
When you fire someone for his opinions out the work place you have crossed a line.
The fact is 98% of the world is not gay and could spend their entire lives and never meet one if not for the media sticking into peoples faces.
No wonder Russia now claims moral superiority.

When you ask someone for his opinion on something, you cannot attack him when he gives an honest answer.
It’s lavender mafia gotcha journalism as was the pecking party against the beauty pagaent contestant who gave Perez Hilton “the wrong answer”.
As most media worship god the almighty $$$ and DD being the highest rated cable show (and therefore richest), I somehow think all this will be worked out. (follow the money)...
Also, if they so desire I figure the Duck Dynasty guys (and gals) could launch their own network and find success... sending A&E back to the artsy-fartzy oblivion from whence it came. So I speculate.

Last night, on this web page, there was a counter. I went to bed when the counter reached 19000 in favor of Phil and 48 against. At one time it was changing so fast I could not keep up with the numbers.
I notice this morning the counter appears to be gone, but the comments are still there.

I disagree. An employer should be allowed to fire a worker based on that worker’s opinions. Note that political opinion is NOT a protected class for discrimination. Are you saying you want to take away my right to fire an employer because he holds liberal views?
In a free society the right to terminate employment needs to reside with the employer and not with those in government.
Right now, some pro fag woman is saying Phil should issue an apology and move on.
I see that as the Roman soldier who told Polycarp that, if he would not eat, then fake eating the sacrifice to Caesar.
Polycarp refused to even touch the sacrifice to Caesar and was burned to death.
Now Phil appears to be on that hot seat. To save his show, he is told to EAT THE HOMO SACRIFICE OR DIE!
