The stars of "Duck Dynasty" might be America's most popular TV family, but that could change very soon because Phil Robertson has made some strong (and seriously offensive) anti-gay remarks that have sparked instant backlash.
Speaking with GQ, Robertson lamented that when "everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong ... sin becomes fine." So just what qualifies as sinful in his book?
"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," he declared.

Duck Dynasty ... Gaystapo ... screw political correctness ... ping
Well....it sure looks like SOMEONE at A&E talked to Phil...and Phil didn’t budge. From the Yahoo article:
UPDATE 7 a.m. PT: In a statement released via A&E, Robertson attempted to clarify his remarks: “I myself am a product of the ‘60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the Bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.”
He ain’t walking it back. You betcha...they’re going to push for cancellation.
Look for an immediate and profuse apology by "Duck Dynasty," or they will be gone before long.
Phil Robertson simply stated a truth. Christians must believe and follow God’s Word as revealed in the Bible. Homosexuality is a sin. There can be no reasonable doubt about that, and any homosexual who attempts to warp scripture to say sodomy is OK is deluded to the point where they are risking eternal damnation.
Phil Robertson was also correct when he said homosexuals shouldn’t be singled out for poor treatment. Phil, like all of us Christians, is a sinner. The key difference between a believer and non-believer is repentance. That’s why Phil’s youthful sins, adultery, drunkenness, etc., are forgiven.
Lying about the Bible in order to make homosexuals feel good about their sin would be far, far worse than telling them the truth. Phil is actually showing love and care for homosexual sinners by explaining how they can be forgiven. The ones who condemn Phil are actually liars who hate homosexuals, because they’re the ones who won’t lift a hand to help a fallen sinner.
And the LGBTQ crowd makes up what part of the duck call market?
Gaystapo indeed ..and besides, who gets to decide what’s “incendiary” anyway? These remarks were just a casually stated opinion, not hateful in any way, and included a whole lof that was not “gay” in his list.
Even if I disagreed with him, and I do not disagree, there is nothing to “inflame” anyone in that.
The gay lobby will focus on boycotts of advertisers.
It doesn't matter how many viewers a show has. What matters is how many advertising dollars it brings in.
interesting observation ..so true .
For the Liberals and their media, “tolerance” translates to: “thinks like we do”, and a “diverse society” translates to “everyone has the same views of society and morality”.
In essence, Liberals are not truly for either tolerance or diversity because that would mean tolerance for everyone who strongly disagrees with their point of view on many issues and it would mean a society that did not reflect diverse points of view.
Then the show will just get picked up again by The Outdoor Channel, which is where they started it as Duck Commander.
Lets face it, three, four, five years, were out of here. You know what Im saying? Its a TV show. This thing aint gonna last forever. No way.
Phil and Jase make the show.
I don’t see many queers buying duck calls.
What’s considered sin in ‘’his’’ book? It isn’t ‘’his’’ book that matters an iota. It’s “”HIS”” book that matters!
The inability to see the difference shows the article’s author’s abject ignorance. The author should confine writings to topics he knows something about.
Don't forget "offensive," according to the article. And not long ago, Phil's remarks wouldn't have been considered incendiary or offensive at all, but just common sense. It's breathtaking how quickly and thoroughly the gays and their supporters have gotten their way.
“Offensive” to whom?
He is just saying the same thing that Pope Francis says and has always believed, and he is Time’s and gay men’s “Man of the Year.”
We know why they are being attacked for gay remarks. It is a convenient excuse to demean them since they are basically conservatives. The gay issue is just a weapon to take them down a peg and brand their audience as being filled with haters.
