The stars of "Duck Dynasty" might be America's most popular TV family, but that could change very soon because Phil Robertson has made some strong (and seriously offensive) anti-gay remarks that have sparked instant backlash.
Speaking with GQ, Robertson lamented that when "everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong ... sin becomes fine." So just what qualifies as sinful in his book?
"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," he declared.

Actually, the big bucks are now coming from the tee shirts, pillowcases and other DD knick knacks which take up almost two aisles at every Wal-Mart store. When you've got two whole aisles at Wal-Mart you've hit the mega big time. The family makes $200,00 from every episode of the TV show which they must divide up among themselves. They make more than that before noon every day from the retail sales. The show is just one big commercial for their DD stuff and I bet they would pay A&E to continue broadcasting the show if it ever came down to that.
So true.
Let's just say that A & E would be committing some sorts of suicide if they cut off their show.......just imagine the stampede from the other cable channels to sign them up.
Trouble, my rear end.........
I doubt they will ever apologize for their point of view; however, they really won't care if they are gone, and anticipate it happening anyway, as the article points out. They will continue to do a land-office business with their traveling speaking events and the rest of their products.
Because Phil R is telling it like it is. He's calling a spade a spade and the queers don't like the cold hard truth shoved down their throats. Phil is on the front lines of the push back against this depravity we are being forced to tolerate. The Lefts intolerance of the right is totally intolerable.
“GLAADs gonna get their collective panties in a bunch.”
Doubt seriously GLAAD folks buy many duck calls.
Phil already made fun of gays on his show. Remember the photographer?
Well yes .I was including the anscillary product sales as part of their TV empire ..
Homo sexuality is controversial, not the disapproval of it...well in a right side up world anyway.
I enjoy the show, but after this comment, I think I'll get the season DVDs.
And buy a duck call or two...
I read something here on FR yesterday the there’s going to be a homo “marriage” on a float at the Tournament of Roses Parade. If true, it seems that the forced acceptance of this perversion knows no bounds.
I am like others believing Phil will let the fags pound sand rather than apologize. Go Phil!!!
Yeah that was my fav one
Seth the pet photographer
Who would have thought it? Now WE are the counter culture! YEAH!
So GLAAD didn’t like the “vile stereotypes.” You mean like one man sticking his penis into another man’s smelly butt? THAT is VILE.
You’re absolutely right. The libs have a difficult time with the message, but whether they agree or disagree, the Bible CLEARLY condemns homosexuality and a slew of other sins. If a lib doesn’t want to accept that, they can ignore it, but they’re wasting their time if they try to tell me and other Bible believers that the Bible doesn’t say what it clearly says.
You could say the same thing about libs and the US Constitution. They don’t like what they KNOW it clearly says, so they subvert it by claiming it means something entirely different. Yet, you and I can read the US Constitution for ourselves. It’s not difficult to understand. Neither is the Bible.
Care to place a small wager on that?
Leftists can’t handle the truth.
Phil spoke truth.
The leftists’ hair caught on fire, then their heads exploded.
That, I suppose, is “incendiary” ...
DD gave A&E something they never had SUCCESS and PROFIT.
So you think A&E is now going to kill the goose that is laying A&E’s golden eggs because 1% queer population with their 15% “friends” population, who were likely NOT DDynasty fans to begin with?
I think the show and the marketing frenzy has reached its peak and will subside gradually on its own, but then again who would have thought DD would catch on like it did in the first place.
You’re spot on, and that’s exactly what I was thinking about when I wrote that: I saw the response on “Fox and Friends” the morning one of them said half-jokingly he got tossed out his New York hotel because of the way he looked, and not only was it cool how casually he took it, but I was even more impressed that he kind of understood where those hotel folks were coming from, and could even sympathize with ‘em some. Really classy, in a country kind of way.
