Obama Administration Sees Three Quarters of All U.S. Military Deaths in Afghanistan

Almost three quarters of the 2,153 U.S. military fatalities in the 12-year-old Afghanistan war have taken place since Obama was first inaugurated, according to an Associated Press (AP) tally.

Using the AP’s Afghanistan casualties database, Breitbart News calculated that between January 20, 2009, and the end of last month 1,595 U.S. soldiers lost their lives in the Afghanistan conflict. The total number of military deaths so far is 2,153.

That means that about 74 percent of all U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan have taken place under Obama’s watch. During the eight years of the previous administration there were only 558 fatalities, or about 26 percent of the deaths that have taken place from October 7, 2001, the start of the war, to November 30, 2013.

No deaths had been reported for December 2013 at the time of this writing.

The information in the AP database is gleaned from AP news reports and confirmed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

WANNA BET MANY OF THEM ARE BECAUSE OF OBOZO’S PENTAGON’S RULES OF NON-ENGAGEMENT.

Better our kids die rather than PISSING OFF MORE MUZZIES!!!

Johnson and McNamara tied their arms behind their backs and we all know how well that turned out.

He wouldn't want it any other way.

“He wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Exactly. Hussein is real proud of himself for an achievement of this magnitude.

Remember during the war in Iraq that the MSM was reporting the daily body count?

Remember how the MSM wanted to show pictures of caskets of US war dead?

And Liberals claim the news is not biased!

I am SO SICK of hearing this! It's been plastered all over the MSM for weeks. I'm sick of hearing it.

Wait. I've never heard it from the MSM. I'm sure that I will be sick of hearing it from now on from the MSM. I mean, right?

I blame Obama for the changes in ROE. I blame Bush for not ending this war in three months. There is absolutely no reason to worry about the complete and utter destruction of an enemy, especially if they are members of a death cult. This nation building BS kills our sons and depletes our treasury, all the while making us a weaker nation.

Muslims do not belong in the modern world. Their nations should be reduced to the stone age.

MSM couldn’t possibly care less about military casualties that occur under a president they’re propping up.

These deaths don’t advance the MSM agenda, so they’re ignored.

Nobody ever went in there and took as few casualties as we did during our first two years. But we had to become busy-bodies and dictate a PC-type government.

Yet we gave them a new constitution that stated Sharia is the highest law of the land. We gave them a Taliban-approved constitution but their beef was that the Sharia business wasn’t being adhered to strictly enough.

We should have had a clandestine effort to convert as many as possible to Christianity. That way after getting out we may have planted some seeds with some tribesmen that had a cram course in living by the New Testament and fighting by the Old Testament.
