Thank-you.
Can do.
Giant Rush Ping List... He’s back today.
Check
I don’t mean to go too far off base, but is anyone else concerned about radiation pollution from Fukushima being dumped into the Pacific?
I am reading some disturbing reports and don’t know if they are from wacko alarmist sites or if there is some basis for concern. I know there are reports of strange gatherings of sea life and illness, deaths, low numbers of salmon, etc.
Does anyone here know what is the story on this - we see no news of this, which makes me suspicious.
I understand that there are few testing sites, if any, for testing radioactivity in the Pacific waters.
Rush back today for sure?
Steyn was a treat on Friday, and Mark Belling was really ok yesterday, but I do miss the Master.
He’s back today; so says his site.
There was an article earlier on FR this morning, which talked about them building “giant containment tanks” for the contaminated water. It’s melting/dissolving starfish in the Pacific and that side of the world. From what I’ve read on other sites, the contaminated water is still pouring into the ocean. We have a problem coming which no one knows the scale of.
Belling is ok, but Mark Davis? Nails on the chalkboard is preferable.
There are stories about hair loss and sores on polar bears, reduced salmon populations, seal deaths along the Cali coast, and radioactivity in the algae by Hawaii. Wouldn’t such a terrible disaster have more coverage? Chernobyl was on the air forever talking about contamination and there is a large dead zone around it to this day. Was not Fukushima at least as severe, if not worse?
I don’t want to be alarmist, but it seems to me that there is virtually no coverage on the topic. That always makes me suspicious, and I wouldn’t eat sea food from the Pacific until someone starts explaining things.
Anyone know where I can get a reliable and inexpensive Geiger counter?
Soviet Union/Russia was an adversary; Japan is an ally. That explains part of the non-coverage. I don’t think anyone has a clue as to how bad the unstoppable aftereffects of that accident, are just yet. There’s no way to build enough tanks to hold all of that radiation. A typhoon or tsunami pushes millions/billions more contaminated gallons into the ocean. Our west coast is in for a bad time, as it creeps/flows east with the debris fields.
