The British singer and outspoken vegetarian is blasting both the annual holiday's menu as well as President Barack Obama for engaging in the traditional turkey pardon Wednesday.

Morrissey dubbed the American holiday "Thankskilling," adding the murder of so many turkeys each November yields unhealthy food while warming the planet.

Please ignore the abysmal example set by President Obama who, in the name of Thanksgiving, supports torture as 45 million birds are horrifically abused; dragged through electrified stun baths, and then have their throats slit. And President Obama laughs. Haha, so funny!

Actually, I think Morrissey is what made Johnny Marr such an effective artist.

His post-Smiths career has been fairly aimless and unimpressive - being part of the Smiths (i.e. working daily with an obsessive as a writing partner) gave him the focus and consistency he needed.

Morrissey and Marr created a very distinctive body of work, lyrically and musically, which neither of them could have achieved without the other.

I’m a vegetarian and know that the lifestyle isn’t always good for “the planet”. Morrissey should do some research on what the popularity of vegan fav quinoa is doing to the forests of Peru and its indigenous people.
