Crush of applicants in final weeks of year may cause new headaches.
Some critics are worried the website may not be able to handle the rush of last-minute enrollments, causing further delays for consumers seeking coverage. My biggest concern is that a great many people will come flooding through Healthcare.gov before the Dec 23 deadline and the government will not have completely fixed the backroom connection it has between Obamacare and the insurance companies, says Robert Laszewski, a health insurance consultant at Health Policy and Strategy Associates. That could lead to lots of customer service issues.
Indeed, some insurance companies could still be processing new customers early next year.

Yeah. There might be 15 or 16 thousand or so.
Many of the articles I’ve read by IT professionals say it cannot be fixed, ever.
This will be quite a good social experiment:
What happens to bad laws when no one follows it?
Lining up the excuses.
maybe it will be juuuuuust right
It will cause their Commadore 64 to fill up with memory!
With Obama? Selective prosecution. Sort of like when 500,000 went to see Simon and Garfunkel at Central Park, and there was ONE pot bust. Like the inverse of Powerball,
Like Prohibition?
A key problem is that its really a system of system. It interfaces with other agency system such as IRS, HHS, and SSA to exchange data with them. So you have these complex and cumbersome linkages. And then there are the inevitable and problematic security issues that will arise over time. This mess is just getting started.
And "Lowering Expectations" as our own CA Lieberal Governutter Jerry Brown is so fond of saying we should always do!!!
That's an awfully low bar. Logging in at all would be an improvement. Collecting your data and placing it in the hands of a Nigerian spammer would be an improvement. Downloading a virus that encrypts your hard drive and demands a donation to the DNC in order to decrypt it would be an improvement.
Not even by Sebelius?
Lots of people are going on Medicaid, and a few suckers are signing up for inflated insurance policies that will rob them of their savings and spare change.
I expect to see beggars at the Walmart parking lot asking for spare change for Obamacare.
All those millennials are just chomping at the bit to pay $400 a month for catastrophic coverage with a $50,000 deductible.
Love how they call captive surfs “customers”
You must buy this product or we will shove it down your throat. Have nice day Dear Customer.
A building that has a poor foundation must be torn down..completely. Same goes for politicians.
Love how they call captive surfs customers
Yeah, I think I could get a substantial bump in my business with that “one weird trick”
