Yes, you are correct, it IS preaching to the choir by airing this in Texas. But we did this deliberately.

We decided to start here in Texas and then expand to other states. Why Texas first?

Because after Obama's partial government shutdown was over, the media went and did polling on Cruz both nationally and then in his home state. They wanted to see how much damage they had done (between the Obama-liberals-media smear campaigns against that 'terrorist' Ted Cruz... a smear campaign that was assisted by some disgraceful souls in the GOP who happily backstabbed Cruz.)

So we wanted to make sure we helped boost Cruz's favorables first in Texas and then work beyond there to help undo some of the damage the media smear campaign did to Cruz's standing nationally.

So that's the plan.

I am thankful for the courageous and visionary leadership of Ted Cruz. It is a rare man indeed who is willing to stand up to members of one's own party in order to follow through on commitments made to constituents.

Senator Cruz has had an enormous positive impact since joining the Senate early this year. He has been instrumental in providing winning arguments on all the major issues: gun control, sequestration, Syria, amnesty, and now healthcare. I'm thankful Senator Cruz is on our side! He will be an outstanding president.
