U.S. general: Let's make Obama resign
WorldNetDaily ^ | November 19, 2013 | F. Michael Maloof

A retired Army general is calling for the “forced resignations” of President Obama, other administration officials and the leadership of Congress for the direction they’re taking the nation, his list of grievances including the systematic political purge of hundreds of senior military officers in the U.S. military.

Retired Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely told WND he is calling for nationwide rallies and protests to demand the resignations and added that a peaceful “civil uprising is still not out of question.”

In his capacity as chairman of the organization Stand Up America, Vallely issued what he termed a “National Call to Action” to force the resignations of Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Vallely, formerly the deputy commanding general of Pacific Command, said the current crop of leaders must be forced to resign by the “demand resignation” process, which he explained requires massive grass-roots protests and social networking. As an example, he cited the public and media pressure that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon....

We can’t even make him do his job. What makes you think we’re going to be able to make him quit?

As nice as Obama’s removal from office sounds, the military can’t force him out. America survived the first Civil War. We survived WW2 against Hitler. We survived the Cold War. The remaining three years under a communist and petty tyrant will be worse and more dangerous, but our odds are better than if we have a military coup.

Vallely grossly under-estimates the Obama regime's thirst for power over our lives.

There can be nothing civil about an uprising to remove Obama and company from power.

Our founding fathers understood best how to deal with tyrants. Unless we follow their example any "civil uprising" is doomed to fail.

I'd also add we CANNOT count on the media to tell the truth in ANY uprising (civil or not.) Look at the hatchet job they continue to do to the Tea Party movement.

In any uprising, if we want the TRUTH to get out, the liberal lamestream media simply MUST be the first casualty. There's no doubt about that in my mind.

Nixon was forced to resign

Right ... because there were the votes to impeach him. There had been extensive public hearings with audio recording evidence and it was clear he was going to be impeached. Again .. one has to have the votes and we don't. Thus this general's comments about forcing this President to do anything is irrelevant. Just more preaching to the choir

Crowd declares ‘2nd Revolution’ outside White House

The speaker whose one-liners drew the biggest roars was clearly retired Adm. James Lyons, who brought down the house with his bluntly worded, but razor-sharp, assessments of the world today.

I predict that he will soon be checked into the hospital, for a heart ailment or some such thing. Of course it will be faked, like everything else he does. He’s just about out of options. Of course nobody will be able to criticize an ailing president. Everybody will feel sorry for him and wish him a speedy recovery. The media will fawn over their hero again. And the RINO’s too will all come to his defense, and his poll numbers will start to climb back up.

It’s probably the only thing he can do now.

It’s either that or start a war.

How about a General Strike! People march in the street and close the whole nation down—all schools—all universities, all newspapers—all stores—all factories. Every city from coast to coast.

I have been a part of the process for over 30 years. Involved and educated on it.
The GOPe has hung our constitutional conservative candidates and elected reps out to dry since I have been involved.
You seem to be saying, let’s do it one more time and it will work. Yeah, okay Lucy, find yourself another Charlie Brown to whiff the ball this time and next. I am done.
More importantly, the GOP is done. You are flogging a dead horse. I did it for 30 years, you can have your ride. Have fun.

Valleley is not wrong about this. They need to go. Invoking the 25th ammendment would certainly be in order as I think we can all agree Obama is unfit for office. Its not going to happen but that is what is needed. I don’t know if the country can take three more years of Obama.

Nixon was forced to resign

Nixon was impeached and felt that the honorable thing to do was resign. Clinton set the standard for being impeached and sticking it out, knowing there was no way the Senate could get the requisite 2/3rds vote. Obama would no doubt do the same.

I must admit that I had to look up the details on the 25th amendment. Very interesting:

“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”

“...unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office...”

and “immediately”, which seems to mean their would be no recourse from the Congress or Supreme Court.

I don’t see this as outside the realm of possibility. It would in effect be a coup. Or as Obama would call it, a ‘coupe’.

As long as we do not have the senate, just impeaching that arrogant pos does us no good. You know darn well the rats will not remove him

Actually, even the demon Harry Reid would uphold impeachment if the media was not so dishonest and corrupted. Impeachment is a political process. With the media villainy giving fabricated, deceitful cover to the enemies of The Republic (read Democrats), there is no political will to oppose the despicable anti-American democrips. Guillotines from orbit for the media is the only way to be sure ...

They should read Admiral Yamamoto’s assessment of the likelihood that an “invasion” would succeed.
