George Zimmerman has been arrested and was en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.
It's not clear what happened or what crime he's accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.
He said more information would be available shortly.
WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.
The Sheriff's Office, in a short news release, reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka.

I’m thinking he isn’t too bright, either, because he keeps making choices to get him into more trouble. I really thought we wouldn’t hear anything more from him for a long time after the trial - that would have been the sensible thing to do, but no, he stays in Florida in public view and stays around women, again making poor choices.

Florida has a law that allows for this be done. It has to be approved by
the judicial system.
Then why is he apparently giving them all the ammunition they need?
Samantha Scheibe, who is reportedly pregnant, was identified as the girlfriend in George Zimmerman’s alleged domestic abuse case.
Zimmerman was arrested in Seminole County, Fla., on Monday morning. He was taken to jail and is being held there without bail.
Radaronline.com and the Daily Mail reported that Scheibe, 27, has said she is pregnant, which upgrades the arrest to a felony. TMZ also reported that she was pregnant.
Police were called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in Seminole County, where Zimmerman and Scheibe live.
Officials have not publicly identified if Scheibe is the woman in question.
He needs to play the White Hispanic card. There didn’t seem to be any until he came along.
I can only imagine how he has been threatened, provoked and harassed.

Heck wasn’t it just a couple months ago that he came through the DFW area and
got stopped, but no ticket. He seems to attract the police with whatever he does.
His ex-wife to be filed for a divorce a month or so ago. So his legal battles
aren’t over. And if this latest event is true then he got more to deal with
and potential some jail time.
Is this the same “White Hispanic” George Zimmerman of which we speak? (LOL)

It takes very little to be accused of domestic violence. The police also always take the word of the accuser no matter what evidence or testimony contradicts them.
Sounds like a “honey pot” operation......
It’s apparently an automatic felony in Florida if she is pregnant, and she is.
He is going to be convicted of felony domestic violence.
Goodbye guns.
You know, with the appropriate drug technology they could do that.
If he and his family can't get control of this guy, he'll end up dead.
