Rush is a blowhard. He effectively shot down the candidacies of everybody except Romney in the last election - and then I remember how he almost broke down in tears when he described Romney and his wife walking out together somewhere and how they looked like “such decent Americans” (sorry, Rush, Romney always looked and sounded like a plastic man with no values) - because it made him feel powerful to be able to do it.
Rush has never run for office, never held a job outside of media, and while he’s sometimes good, he’s just what any media person is: all about himself.
Why we have let Rush Limbaugh call the shots, I do not know. He’s almost never right, he thinks it’s all a joke, and in fact I think his “Operation Chaos” was actually indirectly responsible for bringing us Obama.

The conservative movement owes a great deal to Rush Limbaugh.
Perhaps everything you say is true, that Rush is an egotistical blowhard with a poor track record. But I wish every egotistical blowhard in the Lame Stream Media had the same core political principles as Rush and was out there fighting for us everyday like he is.
Rush sells stuff - enriches himself - doesn’t spend a dime on activism - and is dellusional with regards to his influence.
Back around ‘98 when he came out with his father’s sacred honor speech, I sent him a note asking where his was - 14 years on and I still don’t see a shred of it.
He’s happy to sit by like so many talking heads and just comment on America’s crumbling. I was in Washington 9/12/09 marching with hundreds of thousands of other patriots. Rush wasn’t there. He’s never there.
