The House easily passed Republican legislation on Friday allowing insurers to keep offering old insurance plans for another year in response to President Barack Obamas broken if you like it, you can keep it promise.

... Unfortunately .... until now the GOP has had their hands clean of this looming Social monstrosity until today. Now they have cracked and are now seen as trying to help "Repair" the ACA albeit temporarily. All they had to do and sit back and let Landrieu present her bill and let the Democrat cannibalistic fireworks happen then instead of getting the GOP hands now dirty.
... This would have also prevented a lot of resulting mud slinging within the Republican party on this matter at a time when unity has never been more imperative. The GOP, the last Guardians of the Constitution, will now begin to eat their own once again .... this is apparently their incredibly predictable strength which the Democrats so dearly rely on.
The answer to that is included in your question. We're fortunate the Senate and the Preezy are protecting the idiot House Pubbies from themselves.
Has this ever happened before when there was a Senate held by one party and a House held by the other? Bills being gutted and essentially replaced but keeping the same bill number? Turned into their opposite even? For political hay?
Now that OHOLECARE is literally killing people with MILLIONS losing their insurance and causing massive damage to the economy when we can least afford it......
THE STUPID PARTY SHOULD BE SHOUTING AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS TO REPEAL AND OR DEFUND THIS TURD.
Instead they’re giving cover for the RAT ARSEHOLES who passed this STINKIN PILE OF CRAP.
STAGGERS THE IMAGINATION
Well if the dims and the prez are smart they’ll both pass this thing. Then we will all own Obamacare together.
Kumbaya.
You’re right. The Upton bill bears the seeds of death of Obamacare.
Yes, yes, yes and DUH.
“If it passes the Senate (doubtful), Obama will just veto it anyway.
It means nothing.”
I hope you’re right. I don’t trust them with a bill that could be used as a shell. They recently pulled this trick last month, and the American people were left scratching their heads as to why some Republicans were voting against a bill they had just supported.
>>I dont think theyre trying to save obama. They want to get him and the rats on the record legislatively. Let the rats vote against it. Let obama veto it.
Then they are dangerously stupid! Do you think that LIVs understand the nuances of the lawmaking process? They can’t even comprehend the Schoolhouse Rock “I’m just a bill” cartoon anymore.
They are feral animals who only understand pleasure and pain. If they feel pleasure because Prog-publicans allow it, they will credit Obama with it because it is ObamaCare.
We have to let this thing fail in spectacular Hindenberg-style disaster. They have to feel pain or it won’t be real for them.
Not in October 2014, they won't.
Agreed. If they are going down the stupid path, they might as well tack on a bunch of amendments like defunding the department of education.
Now they are complicit.
Expect every future failure of the ACA to be blamed on the meddling Republicans.
We own it now. Ugh.
I mean in history, not my strong suit.
Which bill?
The recent spending bill. Not last month, in September.
Senate won’t even bring itto the floor for a vote.

OK now we have to do what the Dems/Media did during the shutdown.
Dem Party in Civil War
Deep divisions within Dem Party
Obama Dems vs Moderate Dems
teeeheheeeheee...let’s do it!
I was being flippant.
It’s happened many times where one house rips out the entire body of a law to replace it with another. It’s called the “strike-all” rule. It’s part of the process. Many states have clauses in their Constitutions forbidding the practice, the US Constitution does not.
Oh I’d like to add
Democrats in Panic Mode!
Okay, I hope that’s the end of it then.
