House Democrats delivered a fix-it-or-else ultimatum Wednesday to President Obama, giving his administration until Friday to find an affordable solution for the millions of Americans losing their health plans under ObamaCare -- or risk some Democrats backing a Republican solution.
The ultimatum from President Obama's own party is another sign of the unrest within the Democratic caucus about the cancellation notices. The end-of-the-week deadline is significant, because House Republicans are planning to call a vote Friday on a bill that would extend current policies for another year.
It's unclear whether Democrats would go so far as to support that bill if the administration does not offer a Plan B. But one senior Democratic source told Fox News that, at a closed meeting Wednesday, Democrats made clear to the administration that they need a proposed fix before Friday's vote.

The House leadership should convene the Rules Committee tonight and vote on Upton a day earlier than expected.
Give the House RATS their only chance to vote on a legislative fix BEFORE Obama announces a regulatory fig leaf on Friday, specifically designed to give the RATS political cover.
Vote ASAP on Upton.

Even if things get extended for a year, plans that were already cancelled are cancelled. Even if the insurance companies re-offer those plans, people would be getting on NEW plans, and pre-existing conditions from the old plans would not be covered.
Those people who got diagnosed with cancer or some other condition would be well and truly screwed, and would have no choice to go Obamacare.

In for a penny, in for a pound. The dems will solve this issue by spending more money that they don't have. And when the republicans balk at the increases subsidies, all hell breaks loose again. No way the dems walk away from this first step on the road to single payer healthcare.
If I was the GOP, I’d be flooding the air waves right now, framing the debate. I’d run 30 second spots that just say “If you want to keep your healthcare plan you can keep your healthcare plan. Period.” And show the president saying it a few times at different events. Then at the end, show his clip where he scolds the house and says “Elections have consequences”. Maybe toss in Pelosi and her “you gotta pass it to see what’s in it”, I dunno.
Just simple, keep it at that.
I’d run those ads in every battleground state until ‘14.
But of course, the GOP won’t, instead they’ll do whatever they can to hinder anyone running against their darling establishment girlfriends, be them D or R. That’s all the establishment wants, to keep the status quo, it doesn’t matter if it’s a donk or elephant, just so long as they are a “team player”.
I watched part of the hearings today. The Obamacare bureaucrats acted like, or were told to act, as if everything will be fine in awhile, don’t worry.
One rep asked one tech head was the system fully tested. The tech guy said, what do you mean by “fully”? The rep just laughed.
