I have to admit I have been pretty shocked by the ObamaCare ads.
This is a real ad from "doyougotinsurance.com" which is targeted at the stupid youth, I guess. The other ads are almost as bad:

I did a quick calc for a Bronze policy 26 yr old nonsmoker in Indiana making $20,000/yr:
$25.46 per month
Premium: $264.16
Subsidy: $238.70
So for a lot of low paid young people Obamcare is going to be pretty cheap.
When does one get the subsidy?? When one files ones taxes or the same month one starts paying for the insurance????
They must be married. Notice her wedding ring.
I can see some 20 somethings sitting on the living room couch with a Colorado-legal joint in hand coming up with these moronic ads. Yeah, I can believe it.
You can elect to get the subsidy every month and only pay the “net” amount. This has been debated on FR but at least one insurance agent has confirmed it.
We have to be a little careful on this, Obamacare is a disaster, but remember that it was designed by the Chicago mob to reward Obama voters and penalize opponents. Once they get the website working, a lot of Obama supporters are going to be quite pleased.
It’s depressing because the ad actually reflects today’s youth and their views on casual sexual intimacy. That this hedonist mindset is exploited by the Obama administration in an effort to lure young, healthy people into Obamacare is no surprise. That some young people will respond to this nonsense is sad but inevitable and raises the question: ‘can America be saved from itself?’
