Obama Voters Shocked by Obamacare Cancellations, Skyrocketing Rates

With millions of Americans receiving Obamacare-induced health insurance cancellation letters, several of President Barack Obama’s supporters are experiencing sticker shock and expressing regret.

“I was really shocked,” said Colorado Obamacare supporter Cathy Wagner upon receiving her cancellation notice. “All of my hopes were sort of dashed. Oh my gosh, President Obama, this is not what we hoped for, it’s not what we were told.”

Wagner says the same coverage will now cost her and her husband 35% more and that they will have a higher deductible.

“Our premium for next year is going up to over $1,000 a month for two of us and we’re two fairly healthy individuals,” said Wagner.

Wagner is not alone. According to the Colorado Division of Insurance, 250,000 people in Colorado have already lost their health plans in the last few months.

Obama supporters on the West Coast are experiencing similar surprises. In San Francisco, husband and wife Lee Hammack and JoEllen Brothers, who describe themselves as “cradle Democrats,” were alarmed when they received their insurance cancelation notice informing them that their previous $550 monthly premium would now be almost $1,300, their deductible would be higher, they would pay higher hospital costs, and their out-of-pocket maximum would increase.

Gee Cathy Wagner. You sure sucked the “big one” when you voted for Obama so suffer for your stupidity.

Maybe now you will get all that leftist crap out of your mind and regain your senses, or just pay the damned high insurance rates and STFU. You wanted it; you got it! PERIOD!

Why, no fair that Soviet-style policies result in Soviet-style absurdities! We should get a vacation from reality!

It boggles my mind that these Obots never stopped to think that treatment-in-progress was going to get upended like this. Ohhhh you can keep your policy (with a big fat ole asterisk and a footnote from hell).

True, most people will have only a form of catastrophic coverage but they will not pay the lower rates, they will pay higher, far higher rates than they used to pay for good coverage. It is designed to collapse the existing system into chaos, it has no other purpose. Providing actual health care has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Most people will in effect pay very high premiums for NO COVERAGE because they will not meet the deductible.

I’m not sure what the person thought they “were told”,
but I can tell you what they inferred from “Affordable Care” -

they thought they were going to get higher quality healthcare free on demand. Nothing short of that. That’s what they thought they were supporting.

These people need their faces rubbed in the fact that

“subsidy = theft from your fellow citizen”.

The premiums don’t tell the whole story.
Total out of pocket, including deductibles and co-pays, need to be considered.

Obama Voters Shocked by Obamacare Cancellations, Skyrocketing Rates…Now Will They Understand why they are called Low Information Voters?

Probably not.

Let the hunt for wreckers begin! A tenner is the least they should get!

Yes it is interesting how that subsidy curve is structured.

“interesting”...

I’d say that if you did an analysis,
you’d find the subsidy curve was structured in a manner
that disproportionately benefits Obama voting demographics.

Sad but true.

The Chicago mob is far more cunning than many realize.
I’m not convinced in the end Obamacare will be such a problem for Dems.

Between waivers, subsidies, and medicaid, how many of their voters skate?

To tick off a conservative, tell him a lie.

To tick off a liberal, tell him the truth.

Stupid rope a dope liberals get what they voted for - twice.

Exactly. I put our info into the CoveredCa website.

$1200 per mnth premium
$5 or 6000 deductible (don’t remember)
$18804 out of pocket per year (not counting deductables)

How in the heck is that affordable health insurance?

Do you qualify for a “subsidy”?
That’s what the “appeal” of this program is built on.

So you’re screwed, but wouldn’t have been a Dem voter in the first place.

After studying the subsidy curve, I’m wondering if the thing is nicely tailored to the classic Chicago motto “reward your friends, screw your enemies”.

Hubby and I are in that category that is close to being CALLED the rich. We are not but since they keep lowering the threshold.......Luckily we have insurance that we will probably be able to keep. We already pay around $1k a month for it but our copays etc are pretty good and we have no deductibles. Obamacare would be a HUGE hit to our finances.
