No End in Sight to "War on Women" Attacks
Politico ^ | 11/9/13 | KATIE GLUECK and EMILY SCHULTHEIS

Hardly a commercial break went by in October when Virginia voters weren’t reminded of Ken Cuccinelli’s far-right views on abortion and other social issues.

How much of a difference the deluge ultimately made after Cuccinelli’s surprisingly narrow loss against Democrat Terry McAuliffe is open for debate. What isn’t in dispute is that Democrats and women’s groups believe their “war on women” playbook worked. And they have every intention of using it again in 2014,

How about this one; promote birth control. Maybe even cheap pills. (we know they're not that expensive). What might be considered promoting promiscuity would theoretically eliminate the unwanted birth and resulting abortion. Of those two choices, I'd prefer the first.

WHAT you say ? You're promoting birth control pills and sex. No, we're trying to eliminate the killing of the most defenseless among us.

I remember hearing a jovial conversation between Laura Ingraham and Terry McAuliffe, in which she mentioned seeing him at Mass each week.

McAuliffe goes to Mass and Communion each week. And he continues to do so after running this pro-abortion campaign for public office.

Bishop Loverde will do nothing.

I used to think that way too. But when you honestly think about it, why are you against abortion in the first place? Because you acknowledge that the child is a human and has the same rights everyone else does. Since when does rape automatically disqualify the child of those rights and make it worthy of death? It doesn’t matter how the child is conceived, but it does matter that it is a child and is indeed protected by the right to life. Alfonzo Rachel really opened up my eyes on that.

As to saving the life of a mother; I honestly don’t see any real situation where an abortion is safer than a natural birth or a c-section, but in that rare instance I would allow it, though I don’t really see it being a possible situation. I’m sure that’s how the said person here feels too.

We both know you are correct but we won’t succeed in placating young women. It’s a troubling reality. How much can we concede?

Well, that may be somewhat true .. but most of the women I’m thinking of all have a spine of steel. I think the party elites won’t let them do anything.

I think it would shut the left up.

Yeah... we’ll show you what a war on women is, and it’s Democrat. What dolt assumes all or even most women are madly in desire of abortions?

We need to be full-on bold and explain the virtues of the older way of looking at things. These damsels never have even SEEN a fair representation of conservative values. How can they judge what they haven’t seen?

"We've got to find a way to effectively counter this."

Jeeze, its called cold hard facts with a huge amount a ridicule.

"They say I am at war against women, well they/he/she are/is full of crap. No my friends, my opponent is at war with life since he/she promotes murder. My opponent is also in favor of making free men slaves by economically subjugating the producer unto a bureaucracy where accountability is not practiced despite what empty promises he/she says. My opponent supports this unaccountable bureaucracy where results are far from positive and where debt will suffocate our children and their children onward. Simply put my opponent is a murderous oppressor who wants to live a life of pure corruption based off trying to trick voters with hyperbolic lies." Or something to that effect.

What IS the war on women? In what is now a police state, courtesy of 0bama and company? Which women are attacked, how, and why? Who encourages women to be able to defend themselves and how?

It is the Hillary campaign strategy - for now...

Check Esquire's poll regarding sentiment in the US.

http://www.nationalreview.com/campaign-spot

Jim Gehrety sums it up with the thought that we're actually very conservative, so it's no wonder dems cloud elections with frivolous arguments (like War on Women) when the real important issues don't bode well for them.

In light of that, I'd suggest every frivolous talking point, ad, criticism be swatted away with something important. Followed with a question like;
Americans support abortion only in the first trimester, do you ?
Americans overwhelming support a balanced budget, do you ?
Americans disagree with affirmative action, do you ?
Americans support voter ID, do you ?....

Good article. Check it out and smile.
