BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Deadly diseases, once nearly wiped out, are making a frightening comeback in Maryland and across the country. Now — a warning that parents who don’t vaccinate their children are putting others at risk.
Linh Bui explores an alarming and controversial trend.
Measles, mumps, whooping cough — all deadly diseases. Until recently — virtually eliminated thanks to vaccines that prevent kids from getting sick.
But now doctors see an alarming trend — more and more people are coming down with these diseases.
“Kids die from measles on a regular basis. Kids are in hospitals and can die from whooping cough very commonly. So these kids are at risk,” said Dr. Scott Krugman, Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

There is no one more skeptical than me of the drug industry. But I made sure the kids got their shots. On time. All doses.
Wasn’t the thimerosal study from England proven to be a scam in the end? So many famous people bought into it. The NY elite class especially.

Polio Threatens Europe as Virus Makes Comeback Amid Wars

Polio, the crippling virus driven to the brink of extinction, may return to Europe as regional conflicts undermine a $10 billion eradication campaign.
Polio’s re-appearance in Syria last month after a 14 year absence raises the risk that the virus will hitch a ride on unsuspecting refugees fleeing the country and return to areas, including Europe, that have been polio-free for decades, according to a letter published in the The Lancet medical journal today.

“Polio is making a comeback,” Martin Eichner, a professor at the University of Tuebingen who co-authored the letter to The Lancet, said by phone today. Eichner and a German colleague warned that the vaccine used in the U.S. and Europe offers only partial protection against infection and called for heightened screening of sewage systems near refugee settlements in Turkey and Jordan. Syrian war refugees, moreover, have begun arriving in Western Europe, including Sweden and Germany.
Syria isn’t the only area where poliomyelitis, as the disease is formally known, is rearing its head. It has resurfaced in the Horn of Africa as well as in sewage samples in Israel and Egypt. So far this year, 322 cases have been reported globally, up from last year’s record low of 223. The gain snapped five years of consecutive decline, according to data from the World Health Organization.
It appears to have been a warning. It came too late. This ends with random people insinuating I am a troll poster by posting things in front of my face like I won’t see it.
Why is this post being repeated so many times?
Family tree can’t afford any more dead limbs. Its my job to get them to adulthood and then let them cause their own demise.
However, a big lawsuit does increase the survivability of the rest of us. Maybe I’ll have one more and let it take one for the team.
I would attribute it to the frustration folks feel concerning our illegal immigration problem, and the fact that these people are carrying in diseases we have all but eradicated here in the U. S.
Despite massive problems with this issue, the federal government acts as if taking care of these folks are it’s true mandate, and to hell with the citizens of the U. S. and their concerns.
It just struck me as a funny thing to say.

My calculus on the whole subject: Risk of being in school with foreigner ‘con’ deadly disease > Risk of death from 50 injections.
You just know the environmental crackpots are going to run with this and claim this outbreak of diseases is due to global warming. Organizations like the Worldwatch Institute and Greenpeace will be cleaning up because the low information dupes amongst our fellow Americans will be throwing money at them like it was water.
I went to school with several kids who caught polio and it was awful to see them when they came back to school. Then years later I learned about “post polio” and I know they are suffering again.
Letting people from 3rd world countries walk right in without much attempt to stop them is not helping.
Yes many are afraid to get their children vaccinated, possibly someone in authority should listen to the parents and try to make changes or compromise. My daughter decided to spread her children’s vaccinations out and the Dr. acted like she was an unfit mother for not getting their shots all at once...
The price civilization pays for coddling third worlders. Diseases the USA was free from are now flooding across our southern border like a tsunami thanks to the Muslim president.
Can’t just blame Obama. Our borders have been open for many years. Obama is just making it worse.
Just saw a story this morning of a seven year old girl who went to get a flu shot and promptly died in her mothers’ arms.
Who cares if illegal aliens are killing children? AMNESTY NOW!
