That's right. Ted Cruz to be on Leno tonight. Looking forward to FReepers comments as they are always informative and many are very humorous at the same time. Buckle up FReepers. I'm sure that Ted and Jay will keep us both informed and entertained.
Stay tuned or set your DVRs (NBC). This should be great. Go Cruz!
Hopefully, this is posted early enough to give FReepers time to plan on watching or recording. I will do both :)

He sure did, FRiend! Leno IS a weasel, he doesn't just look like one... ;-)
Leno no longer gives a schit about NBC, his contract, or pleasing the Hollywood crowd, and has been making that very clear in the last few weeks..
Yes. I am enjoying Leno lately.
Thank you, Sir.
So the overall gist is that Ted set Leno back on his ass, Leno is allergic to TEA?
The FULL VIDEO of tonight's show will be posted in the NBC archives, starting tomorrow, here...The FULL VIDEO is tonight's show is already posted online here:

Leno didn't help the lib cause tonight in any way.
Nope, he didn't! I knew once Jay Leno the a-hole Dunce tried to 'get into it' with Ted, he'd be sorry.
Ted Cruz reminds me more and more of Ronald Reagan every day. :-)
!
OMG
I think we have all seen a different side of "The Great" Jay Leno tonight, and in the story you just told above. And it sure isn't pretty...
Well said, stanne... I agree!
Yes, Leno is a leftist. He's an abortionist, a homosexualist and only masquerades as an avuncular, aw-shucks kind of guy much in the mold of Andy Griffith. Just refer to numerous comments in this thread that reveal the reality of Jay Leno.
Thank you for those very interesting comments in #223 by Chris Hayes.
You’re right.
God lets our enemies point themselves out to us. Grace.
a-HA! I just knew that man in the red, white and blue American flag jacket was a member of your group! I saw him at the beginning of the show... he was part of that group that "greeted" Leno onstage.
I tend to agree.
Unlike many others here, I actually want Leno to attack, spout the lib talking points, etc., and then we can see how Sen. Cruz responds. If TC is indeed a possible candidate for President, then he needs to be able to do well in these situations, and worse.
If our guys can't win the argument in the eyes of the average voter, in just this type situation, we can't win, and the country truly will be lost.
With 20/20 hindsight (it's a lot easier when one is not the person in the hotseat), I'd give Sen. Cruz a B-.
He did well, I think, in coming off as NOT being some crazy, but instead a decent guy who cares about his constituents. And his points about the pressures on the middle class getting worse due to big gov't were good, though they need to be made more strongly, and at every opportunity by all conservatives.
On the down side, I thought Cruz' answer regarding ObamaCare being the law of the land, so why fight about it, was weak. One could first point out that the 18th Amendment (prohibition) was as legal as it gets, but it was a horrible idea and had to be repealed. If a law turns out to be a lousy idea, is "well, it's the law of the land" any reason to not try to end it? Or, note that much of the law was thrown together at the last moment, was, what, over 1000 pages long(?), and very few if any of the legislators who voted on it had read most of it, much less understood all the implications and repercussions. How good an idea is it to press on with such a law, when major flaws become evident to even some of its supporters, or the President has to apologize for some of its consequences?
I also don't quite know why conservative pols don't focus more on the "unfairness" of big business, big labor, etc., getting exemptions from ObamaCare, while the average person has it rammed down their throat, like it or not. Yes, I know, that's a populist argument, but, sometimes, a populist argument is a good way to gain traction when it's hard to get your voice heard fairly. Reagan understood this brilliantly -- sometimes I think his promise to end the 55 mph speed limit was more effective in garnering votes, in 1980, than any other argument he made.
As far as the "arrogant" charge goes, one way to defuse it right away, in addition to demeanor (which came across well), would be to address the audience something to the tune of: "Well, this is the first time most of you have met me -- I'll trust you to make up your own minds rather than be told what to think by some commentator who has a political axe to grind."
All in all, I thought Sen. Cruz did ok for someone in this particular high level "spot" for the first time. With practice, I'll bet he gets better. :-)
Jay-hole Leno is very definitely allergic to TEA. If you have the time, check out the comments about Leno on this thread...
Just because Leno has been making some jokes about ObamaCare lately, don't be fooled - Leno is a card-carrying conservative-hating, Planned Parenthood-supporting liberal, just like most members of the "showbiz industry" in LA and NYC.
And the local media here made the illegal seem like the victim..they talked to his wife who said the only reason why he ran was because he was “Afraid because he is undocumented and doesn’t have a drivers license” gee, ya think maybe because he’s a damn criminal and THAT is why he ran..and the accident was in East LA which is basically all Mexican so he had no problem running over his own people and then running like hell..they still havent found him, bet he wont get deported either..but hey, meanwhile Jerry Brown wants to give scum like him a drivers license and McCain wants to give him amnesty
This was very good
Leno really challenged him with real questions
Cruz held his end up
Leno has his crap preloaded (RAT talking points), Cruz had to think fast totally cold and make sure not to have a slip up.
He accomplished that perfectly, he did no damage to himself.
If he had gone into long winded answers, Leno would have cut him off more and made his answers look disjointed.
Don't forget, he was on Leno's field and did not lose to him.
Many Koolaid drinkers here are mad that Len didn’t just spend the 20 minutes praising Cruz like when he goes on Rush and Levin. (’Oh we just love you so much’)
But Leno asked Cruz lots of tough and good questions.
Great for Cruz for going on and willing and able to answer them.
That’s what it takes.
Many Koolaid drinkers here are mad that Len didnt just spend the 20 minutes praising Cruz...Personally, I was disappointed that Jay Leno kept ARGUING with Senator Cruz...
...particularly when he used such lame, easily refutable leftist talking points......and then did not give the Senator the opportunity to reply fully.
FWIW, I have been in the studio audience when Jay interviewed Sarah Palin (once) and Ann Coulter (several times)...
...and in THOSE cases, he challenged them, but allowed them ample time to respond.
