TPNN - TEA PARTY NEWS NETWORK ^ | November 5, 2013 | Matthew Burke

Posted on 11/05/2013 9:08:54 PM PST by SaveOurRepublicFromTyranny

The Virginia gubernatorial race was a huge victory for the Tea Party movement. Wait a minute! Democrat McAuliffe “won,” you say. How could this be a victory for the Tea Party movement and a positive precursor for the 2014 mid-terms? Here’s how:

Gee maybe if conservatives stopped calling names and tried to get libertarians to see they support smaller government and less intrusive government maybe some of them will actually vote in a way that helps both groups. Until then expect to keep loosing.

Typical RINO. Went right over your head didn't it?

It does not matter who the Libertarian party candidate is. No Libertarian party candidate is ever going go win. It only matters who the GOP candidate is. As long as they keep nominating non-conservatives they will keep losing - except perhaps in New England.

Oh and BTW, libertarianism is not defined by anti-military, pro-gay, or pro-abortion. Libertarianism is anti-government. Period.

Lost by 2 points, outspent 10 to 1.

I blame the RNC...and other party officials.

The Tea Party, nearly single handedly, brought Ken to within 2 points. The national party? How enthusiastic was the NATIONAL party for our man?

IMO, it’s a win because we are changing mindsets. It may take another election, or two, to start electing candidates, but we are moving forward.

I agree with you and the article. Cooch damn near pulled this off with the deck horribly stacked against him by (1) outside Dem money, (2) a third-party plant, and (iii) no support whatsoever from GOP-e. Many people here in VA thought it was going to be a loss of historic proportions. Also, most of the Republicans in hotly contested delegate races won.

We showed the GOP establishment how well the Tea Party can do WITHOUT THEIR HELP!

Exactly! NEVER EVER send money to the RNC. Always contribute directly to the candidates.

Thus my double down comment. Use every avenue to be a part of the Tsunami of information that brings down Obamacare. We are in the fight of our lives to save this Republic with the gift of Thor’s hammer if we coalesce into a force that wants to just not have people like these assh*oles in charge. They have shown their intent and are not backing down.

I’m from New Jersey, and in my wildest dreams a few years ago I never would have imagined a scenario where the U.S. entered 2014 with a Republican governor in New Jersey.

I thought Christie won?

It looks like the “Bush is a genius for ONCE AGAIN giving in to the democrats” crowd from 2002 has infected the tea party.

“Get used to it until the GOP moves to the right”

Agreed, but Sarvis wouldn’t have even been on the ballot had it not been for democratic paid petitioners.

My prediction is the GOP castrati will now whine that conservatives need to become more “moderate,” when - in reality - the majority of Virginians are conservative.

To hell with the GOP.

The GOP did nothing to help Steve Lonegan. It might be too early to brag about NJ.

Nevermind Lonegan, what about putting Menedez's feet to the fire and getting to the bottom of the underaged hooker rumors, if he was guilty he should have resigned. Except all we got is Mitch and Comity. Ya think Reid would have given this a pass? Reid would have went after him like they did Mr. wide stance....

You are correct, Elections have consequnces. Lokk at what we have gotten with Obama. McAwlful may be a sleazebag, but he now has power. This is NOT a good thing, no matter how the Tea Party tries to spin it.

In this election I think neither Dims nor Republicans turned out that much at all.

I was a poll worker. Turnout was much higher than anyone expected.

"... The fact is we ALMOST won and the numbers WERE trending in Cuccinelli’s direction, even in a state with the problem of DC workers and northern liberal transplants...."

VA has a large and growing Muslim population. (Forty madrasahs in 1999, I recall).

I doubt that any Muslim votes Republican!

To win a land slide like that in deep blue Jersey is a miracle.

Keep telling yourself that. Jabba the Hut is as big an enemy to conservatives as Obama.

We need to start supporting and donating to Green Party candidates in every tight election and play the same dirty game the libs do. The BS about the Republican Party being the party with a conscious has got to end. We have got to be willing to be just as dirty as the rats if we ever hope to win this country back. The fools in VA and NY deserve what it coming to them. It’s time for the good Americans there to leave so not to be caught up in the same fate as Sodom and Gomorrah.

Cuccinelli left far too much of the White vote on the table by refusing to engage the immigration issue. There have been numerous high profile killings of Virginians by illegals with prior convictions.

‘Sara’ said it best!

Mr. Erickson, I am so pissed at you and all the others that are sitting on their brains.

A year ago I posted that I would not give one more dime to the RNC as long as Karl Rove and Prince Priebus were in charge. I won’t watch any news channel if they post in advance that Karl Rove will be on. these two people alone screwed up royally in 2008 and 2012. No one (who) wanted John McCain and Mitt Romney was in doubt, but they went ahead anyway.

Shame on you that you cannot see the fraud that has taken over our country including the RNC. The RNC the GOP are not working for the American people. They are only interested in one thing wealth stolen from the American people and the power that money gives them.

Chris Christy refused. Did you have any doubt that he would? He is kissing Obama”s ass and would not help a fellow Republican. He was probably paid off to refuse as was Sarvis who was asked by Ron Paul to step down so that Ken Cuccnilli could win. McAuliff won simply because the Democrats are champions at fraud, bribery and lies and the GOP is the same. No difference between them.

Shame on you for being a low information voter. People like you we don’t need.
